Additional Information

The Parc Natural del Salobrar, a haven of biodiversity, spreads across 1,400 hectares of pristine wilderness. The name is drawn from the Catalan term ‘salobrar’, signifying a ‘saline zone’, which perfectly depicts the distinctive characteristic of this area.

Delving into the park uncovers an enchanting ecosystem comprised of salt flats, lagoons, dunes, and marshlands, acting as the perfect home for a plethora of migratory and indigenous birds. This area is a true sanctuary for bird enthusiasts where one can potentially observe pink flamingos, herons, osprey, cormorants, and various other aquatic birds.

The celebrated Es Trenc Beach is nestled within the boundaries of the Natural Park. The awe-inspiring panorama of this beach promises an indelible experience. Picture an endless expanse of shoreline with the vibrant turquoise blue of the crystal-clear waters extending beyond the horizon.

Turquoise water, good access - Extraordinary water, white sand. For eating there are few options, bring food and drinks. Paid parking and has an ATM. The only drawback is that it is very crowded and we end up having little space to spread out our towels. Advice: arrive as early as you can.

MAGNIFICENT - It is reached after a dirt road, and you have to pay in the parking lot. The beach is nice and quiet. The water is clean and crystal clear, with some areas with algae. It has some small algae.

Paradise - The only flaw is the 2 km walk to get to the beach from the paid but inexpensive car park. Stunning beach, crystal clear sea and relaxation too. Super recommended

Beach day out - We visited on a windy day and the beach was red flagged, so no swimming. It can be a long 2km drive along a single track road to the beach car park to find you can't swim, so some indication of the status of the beach at the turn off would have been helpful. Stunning beach however and we stayed for a couple of hours, despite being sand blasted! Toilets were horrendous, only one was usable and that was only in an absolute emergency. If the authorities want to keep people off the sand dunes, adequate toilets are essential.

Nice place, but bad organisation - The Tour operator (Lemon Tours) is not so well organised. At first they didn’t find my reservation when I call them for the pick-up. Then on the bus they thought we were going to Aqua-land while we were booked on Es Trenc. Many other people were on the wrong bus… ok… tourists are dumb… but I mean: You are the tour operator and you have a name list! Why don’t you check before someone go on a bus? We wasted so much time just because they didn’t check the names of the passengers. And the guy of Lemon Tours was also rude to customers. It seems he doesn’t like the job.

Waist of money - Paid €5 and waisted my time, the beach wasn’t anything special and there was no cafe as advertised on the board on the way in, there are much better beaches down the road. Don’t waist your time
