Highlights
  • Forn de sa LLotgeta (Former Deborah’s culinary island) - Our cultural approach to cooking will allow you to explore Mallorca’s finest terroir, typical dishes and culinary traditions following family recipes and the island’s food calendar: from key seasonal ingredients to iconic products, all paired with organic wines and a sustainable food ethos. We collaborate with small producers and farmers to bridge your culinary experience with the most genuine artisanal food production of Mallorca. This experience allows for you to connect in a deep, sincere and immersive way with our culture and honor traditional local food. Located in the center of Palma, Mercado del Olivar is the largest typical market in the city. This stroll will allow you to delve in its vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere. Discover culinary mallorca with delicious local food by Deborah - Amazing day! Deborah welcomed us very warmly. We received a fascinating explanation about the culinary history of Mallorca. We visited the market together and were able to discover and taste the local products. In the kitchen we could actively and interactively enjoy cooking together. The afternoon ended with a pleasant aperitif and a delicious lunch. I can definitely recommend this activity to everyone.

Fantastic Mallorcan cooking experience - Such a unique experience. We started with a wonderful tour through the market, learning all about Mallorcan food culture as our instructor bought various foods for our shared meal. We went back to our lovely kitchen and all participated in constructing our 3 course meal. Just fantastic!

One of the best activities on Mallorca! - This was one of the best activities we did during our stay on Mallorca! Deborah gave us great information on the history and food and culture of the island through her tour of the Palma market. We then went back to her adorable studio where she guided us in creating an incredible 3 course lunch. Highly recommend all visitors to sign up for this - it was so much fun and unique . . . and delicious!

Amazing immersive culinary experience! - We had the most amazing culinary experience with Deborah at Forn de sa LLotgeta in Palma! Deborah is so passionate and welcoming, we immediately felt comfortable and enjoyed her company as she showed us around the local market to begin the experience. We loved hearing about the history of Mallorca’s food and learned so much in just a few hours! Everything we cooked was absolutely delicious and authentic, made with the best quality ingredients. The historic workshop space is so beautiful and charming, what a special backdrop for a cooking class. Highly highly recommend this immersive culinary experience to anyone visiting Mallorca.

Passionate and inspiring host offering an authentic culinary experience! - For working reasons, I was invited to participate In Deborah's experience at her stunning culinary studio "Forn de Sa Llotgeta" in the city center of Palma. What can I say? The experience blew my mind! I have been working in the experience business for more than 15 years now, but few times have I participated in an experience that is actually not perceived touristy but authentic and with such a charming and welcoming host! Deborah is very authentic and has a clear vision that all her experiences and happenings are aligned with. She has a vast knowledge about culinary traditions and culture on the island, which she happily shares with all her guests. She spreads a very positive energy and is working to preserve and promote local producers. As an expat living on Mallorca, I did not expect to learn as much as I did, besides spending a lovely afternoon in great company and enjoying a delicious meal. Thank you very much, Deborah, for inviting guests to your beautiful kitchen space, for sharing your passion about Majorcan cuisine and culinary traditions, and for being an inspiring human being fighting for sustainable development on the islands. I have already invited family to participate in the experience as well, and I will surely be back ;)

A must-do experience in Palma - My family took the market tour and cooking workshop with Deborah and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s not a cooking skills class. Rather, it’s a class about this history and culture of Mallorca as seen through the lens of its food. Deborah is very knowledgeable and the class was well-organized. Our favorite part was sitting down to share the delicious food and wine toward the end. Deborah’s atelier is in a former bakery from the Middle Ages set in the middle of Palma, just a short walk from the Mercat de l’Olivar where we met her. If you enjoy learning about food, culture and history, don’t miss this.

Great Activity - Great 4h30 with Deborah (Founder) in Palma. The market visit was very interesting. It was a good starting point for understanding local traditions and food offerings and what we ended up cooking together later. - The real highlight was then cooking a local Mallorca 3-course meal together. Everything was very structured and well explained. - Another highlight was the joint consumption of our "work" with a glass of local white wine and a glass of local red wine. - From our point of view, however, the price of the event is at the upper end. -
