- South Palm Canyon Drive - We’ll visit three distinctive and historic neighborhoods in south Palm Springs: Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, and Indian Canyons.
- Deepwell Estates - Home to many luxury midcentury houses built starting in 1950.
- East Twin Palms Drive - Twin Palms Estates is a historic neighborhood built by the Alexander Construction Company and designed by William Krisel.
- Canyon View Estates - Condo community designed by William Krisel in 1961 – the location where “Don’t Worry Darling” was filmed.
- Indian Canyons Golf Resort - More luxury vacation homes, built starting in 1960.

- Bikes are NOT INCLUDED in the tour price. Please rent from Big Wheel Tours, or you are welcome to bring your own bikes if you have access to some.
- Bring sunscreen! We have 500 days of sun a year!
- Bring extra water! It’s the desert – you’ll be glad you did!
- Tour Guide gratuity is completely optional, of course! (cash or Venmo or margaritas, lol)
Additional Information
Join us on a brief 2.5 to 3-hour bicycle tour through three residential areas in South Palm Springs, renowned for their architectural and historical significance. The tour welcomes both beginners and experienced cyclists, with calm streets, no inclines, perennial sunshine, and minimal traffic ensuring a stress-free experience. (Don’t worry, this isn’t a workout session!)
We’ll journey through the locales of Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, and Indian Canyons, halting frequently for photographic opportunities and informative sessions about specific residences and architects.
PLEASE NOTE: Bicycles aren’t provided. Our trip commences and concludes at a rental agency I associate with. They provide a special discount for my guests and an assortment of vivid cruiser bikes and electric pedal-assist bikes.
[ The tour has been meticulously curated for devoted architecture and history enthusiasts, imparting scholarly-grade knowledge and insights. As such, it might not appeal to some children. ]

Tour start location will be Big Wheel Tours where you'll rent your bikes, if you're not bringing your own. (Please don't go to the Palm Desert location!) Free off-street parking is available behind the shop. We can wait 10 minutes for late arriving guests.

Best Bike Tour! - Brennan is by far the most outstanding tour guide I have ever encountered. The bike tour he led was absolutely spectacular. His friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge made the experience even more enjoyable. I was fascinated by the mid-century modern architecture he showed us and was truly impressed by his expertise. I highly recommend taking this bike tour with Brennan.

Fantastic time with Brennan! - Brennan was equally informative and entertaining. This was one of the best cycling tours we’ve done. He is very passionate about his city, the history and, of course, the architecture.

Enjoyable time with a great guide - It is fun to learn about the different architects and see the actual homes they designed. Brennan is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. And biking is easy on the flat streets of Palm Springs. This is a great way to spend a few hours with friends while vacationing in the city.

The BEST bike tour of Palm Springs MCM architecture! - This Palm Springs bike tour was AMAZING! Brennan is the best tour guide. Our group of 10 took a very leisurely tour of three different Palm Springs neighborhoods. The biking is super easy and the roads are flat. Really interesting architecture and landscaping; great commentary from Brennan. Made a stop for optional coffee and another for a special surprise. Didn't hurt that it was an absolutely gorgeous day in Palm Springs. I think I will do this tour on my next visit even if it is 100% the same :)

Great bike tour of iconic neighborhoods in Palm Springs along with a superb guide! - Our trip with Brennan was wonderful! He is so knowledgable about the history of Palm Springs and it's architecture. We learned so much. The weather was great and the bike riding was easy. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Biking the Decades in Palm Springs - Brennan was tour guide extraordinaire, right down to his stylin’ socks! He’s a wealth of knowledge about Palm Springs architecture, history, and of course he knows where all the Hollywood stars lived. The biking was easy, the pace was relaxed. All in all, it was a fun learning experience.

So much fun!! - This was absolutely the best experience! We have done ghost tours in Savannah, GA and fishing trips in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but Brennan is the best!! Very knowledgeable and so much fun! I recommend this to everyone! Not strenuous at all, and you even get a break!

Brennan Is a Master of Mid Century Modernism - Brennan was an amazing guide and had vast knowledge of the architecture and history of the Palm Springs modernist movement. It was so much fun biking around these historic neighborhoods and getting the inside scoop on its previous inhabitants. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to EVERYONE!
