Great start to our memorable Palermo visit - Salvatore provided us the perfect welcome/introduction to Palermo. He is a great host-- knowledgable about history, culture, geography, & food/drink. We sampled traditional favorites at several sites while enjoying a walking orientation of the old town area. Salvatore is hospitality personified and answered our many first day questions.

Nice evening in Palermo - I meet Dario in front of a church and we started with a first drink outside a very crowded bar. Next stop was on an old market place in Kalsa (part of Palermo) at a Bar&Restaurant where we had the second drink and nice original street food. Last stop was also outside a nice bar with the final drink. Drinks was Beer, Wine and Spritz.
During walking through Palermo center, Dario explained me a lot about the city and the island. Was very good and I can recommend to everybody.

So much more than just food and drinks! - To be honest, we booked this tour because we only had one night in Palermo. It is not possible to find a walking tour of the history of Palermo in the evening. So we booked this one after reading about the guides being so good. Salvatore was everything we had hoped for! He did take us for food and drinks (which were great-very typically Sicilian) but once he knew we were interested in history, he changed made the tour to suit our requests. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We left feeling like we knew a lot more about Palermo, it’s past and it’s present. We would like to call Salvatore not just a guide but a new friend.

Drinks & Bites Tour - definitely recommend - We met with Dario on our first night in Palermo for a "Drinks and Bites" in Palermo walking tour. Dario took us first to a great spot that provided a delicious assortment of appetizers, with the arincina being my personal favorite. Over appetizers and a great aperol spritz, he talked about Palermo and gave us insight into the history of the city and other assorted Sicily topics. Conversation with Dario was very easy. We went to a second location on a fun street full of restaurant and pubs. This location was one we had previously passed by on an earlier walk, Qvivi Bar Musica, and we made note that we wanted to check it out...so it was perfect that we ended up there! More snacks were provided, unfortunately we were so full by this point we couldn't eat them all, and we shared a nice bottle of white wine. At the end of the evening, he pointed us in the direction of some nice pubs. He was a great guide! We ended the evening with a night cap at one of the pubs along the way. Palermo has a great nightlife, we loved the whole evening! I highly recommend this tour and Dario!

Salvatore exceeded our expectations! - Salvatore was an excellent guide through Palermo. He chose 3 excellent places for us to have a variety of local typical bites and delicious drinks!! Salvatore gave us so much history on Palermo as we walked through the town center. His stories were very engaging and interesting!!

True Local experience - Dario has perfect English which is rare in Palermo, local knowledge of the restaurant and bar scene is at another level. The experience of learning about the traditional fare and beverages was a great education for Palermo. With Dario you are guaranteed a spot to sit at the local bar. Dario is well-connected and a great host. Nothing better than a great laneway bar.

Wonderful evening in Palermo! - We had a blast seeing Palermo with Dario! He is fun, knowledgeable, and passionate about Palermo and life in Sicily! All of the food was amazing and getting to try many different “bites” was a highlight as well as the delicious cocktails and trying wonderful wine made locally. Dario had many great tips on where to go to enjoy the best of Palermo during our time here too. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
