Carlo and the Street Food - a perfect pairing… - Carlo was an amazing guide! He was personable, knowledgeable and so enthusiastic about sharing the history of the foods we were sampling. The foods themselves were incredible! Don’t be afraid - if there is spleen on your menu - try it! You may be surprised. The foods we sampled were wonderful and represented a variety of tastes while still being local and with great stories! The pistachio gelato has yet to be matched in any of the other locations that I have tried it. Wear your walking shoes, but know that it is doable for all walking abilities. Also - did I mention Carlo? He truly made it an unforgettable experience!

Highly recommend Carlo’s awesome food tour! - Carlo was an excellent guide! My friends and I met him at 11:30 at the appointed location near the harbor. He was there when we arrived. Our first stop was around the corner and we dove into a spleen sandwich and croquettes at an old family restaurant facing the harbor. Traditional street food. Carlo explained the food and cultural cues very well answered all our questions and helped us plan some more things to see on our trip. Next stop was the oldest restaurant in Palermo where we had delicious fluffy focaccia pizza. Next up was a neighborhood trattoria for pastas, sardine with fennel and anchovy with tomato and raisins, and caponata. After that we were so sated we skipped the arancini and went straight for gelato and cannoli. We highly recommend Carlo for your visit to Palermo! He is friendly, knowledgeable and a gracious host.

Awesome food tour! - We had so much fun with Annalisa! She was so informative and knowledgeable about the history of Palermo and the food we were eating. The time flew by! She brought us to some great spots and we got to eat some delicious food! If you’re interested in good food and history you should take this tour! She was wonderful!

Totally enjoyed winding through the streets of Palermo, enjoying unique Sicilian food for the first time - Carlo our guide was very knowledgeable about the Sicilian cuisine. It included Franco panelle, spleen milza sandwich at Piazzetta san Francesco, Norma pasta arancina con carne rice balls, and topping it off with pistachio ice cream. Enjoyed it all!

Food is Love in Sicily - This tour was more than food. Annalisa took us around the historic district of Palermo and introduced us to the culture of Sicily. She made us feel so welcomed and loved. She was such a gracious host and we will not be forgetting our experience. The food was incredible. I was very full by the end of it. But who can refuse pistachio gelato on brioche!? We were blown away by the whole thing and it was way more than we expected.

A wonderful tour, Annalisa fantastic! - I highly recommend this tour, our guide Annalisa was very engaging and knowledgeable. Really nice and helpful! We tasted many dishes, so even at the end we were super full.

Dinner with a difference - Just the thing for a rainy evening, hearty home cooking and drinks from house wine to beer. Between the stops there are nice explanations about the city

Discover flavors of Palermo - Nice experience we were in Palermo yesterday 11th April. We were fascinated by the colors and flavors of Palermo. Our guide Mr. Carlo was very knowledgeable and took us to discover ancient Palermo by telling us stories and anecdotes of the places visited. We are very satisfied.
