Great guide and amazing experience - Simone was very kind and easy to understand. His story telling is very captivating and unique, the stories of the individuals who are now buried in the catacombs are chilling, but not scary.
Definitely worth booking this tour not only for the experience, but also to know the history of this unique place.

Strange and spooky but worth a visit - Very strange and spooky experience but would definitely recommend. Not for very sensitive people. I would also strongly suggest avoiding taking children with you (we saw a few bizarre mums with little kids walking around dead bodies and mummies... I was shocked that parents like that exist).

Guide make the experinece much more meaningful - Simon was a wonderful guide and made the experience special. He has extensive knowledge of the catacombs and provides great history of both the location and those who are buried there. We found this tour very interesting and we were glad whe had Simon to guide us and teach us.

MUST visit! - This was an amazing place to visit and we just happened to stumble across it.
Crypts containing approx 3,700 real skeletons and done mummies arranged into art. Very odd but wow it was a jaw dropper!

Engaging, informative and mesmerising. - Simon was an outstanding guide through this utterly unique historical cemetery. He was gracious, engaging, informative and deeply passionate about this area of his expertise.
I can't recommend this experience enough. If you have a chance to visit - go - and go with a guide (preferably Simon) for a truly immersive and contextual experience. An absolute highlight of our Italian trip!

Definitely go! - We had an incredible experience with Simon at Catacombe dei Cappuccini. His extensive knowledge and passion for the history behind each burial site brought the catacombs to life. Fascinating Visit to the Catacombs - We had a very interesting visit to the catacombs with a wonderful tour guide who told us about the people and the history of the place and of Palermo more broadly. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is comfortable being in the presence of mummies while learning a lot about history and culture.

Catacombs with Simon - It was amazing experience. I have never seen anything like that. Simon was excellent: professional, knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Moreover, he really helped us. We were unable to join the tour as scheduled, and he managed to reschedule it for the next day. Bottom line: I would highly recommend the Palermo catacombs tour and Simon as a guide.
