Palermo with hop on hop off - Very good you can see everything at the city and walk to visit what ever you want from the stops. If you go there by cruise you can walk to the first stop

Loved it - The bus stop was right outside the cruise port, and as there were 2 cruise ships in that morning,we had about a 20 minute wait for our single decker tour bus,We had a very nice and friendly young lady as a semi tour guide,as where to get off if we wanted to,we stayed on for the whole trip,as it was so interesting,Palermo was everything I expected, very very busy traffic, car horns going off all the time, some people may not like this, but I did,as this is how the city is every day,We passed some amazing beautiful old buildings in all types of architecture styles,So I would recommend going on this hop-On-Hop Bus Tour

Well worth the cost. A great way to learn about a city quickly! - This was a great way to not only get a quick feel for the city, but they offered add-ons that were well-worth the cost. We toured the city, which gave a great overview ( and helped us decide where we would like to spend more time). We bought a 3 day ticket, which also include a trip to Mondello ( beach town) and Monreale. The staff was helpful, courteous. I had never done this before so I was extremely pleased, and in fact, did another in a different city!

Lovely introduction to Palermo. - Excellent way to orient ourselves in a new location. Useful commentary to add context to the sights.

Informative & well-paced tour - Friendly and helpful staff. Good & timely communication of sites and slow enough pace (largely traffic driven) allowed for better learning and photos.

Great way to see the city - Great way to see the city to see what areas you want to tour further. My only complaint is there is a 1 hour delay between the red and the blue line if you wanted to take the alternate line after completing the first line. Not sure why this has tohappen

It was okay - The bus service was fine but not a lot to see that you can't see by walking. And don't bother getting off at the botanic gardens or Villa Guilia. The gardens are a disgrace, full of weeds.

A teal disaster; the only city where it does not work. - I have travelled almost everywhere. The only place I have been to where the hop on hop off site seeing system does not work is Palermo. Don’t take me wrong: the city is wonderful. But never ever take the hop on hop off (the red nor the yellow, because we tried both. For 2 days we wasted our time looking for the stops. Once we got to the stop, we were waiting for an hour or more; the buses would pass and would not stop. We would wave to stop them; they would not stop. Finally, after walking the whole city trying to get on one, some lines were not working and to change from one to the other, we had to wait for more than an hour. When finally the second line came the sound system for the explanation did not work. A real disaster and waste of time.

The Dirty city Palermo !! - Really nothing to see, the city is extremely dirty.. the street food tastes like it was made on the street it self. Under cooked pasta a few times poor service. Go to Bari instead or just head north
