Informative and beautiful - Wow. We learned so much about the history of NZ and the Maori people. Our guide was absolutely brilliant. Coco knew everything and shared a wealth of information with all of us.

Excellent day, well worth visiting - We thoroughly enjoyed our day here. Our guide for the tour, CeeCee, was excellent - engaging and informative. The museums are excellent and we spent a lot of time reading the exhibit information. Fascinating and interesting stuff!

So informative - What a wonderfully informative day we spent here. Our ticket covers a return within 5 days of purchase, we’re hoping to get back at some point as there’s so much to read and see in the museum. A special thanks for our wonderful tour guide - CC. She was so informative as well as being engaging and encouraging of our groups questions. She is an absolute asset to the Treaty group. Thanks to everyone for making it such a special day.

A Very Worthwhile Experience - A very important, well-presented experience about the origin and progress and challenges of the relationship between the Maori first peoples and the later colonists. The museum buildings are beautiful and the tour guides are informed and communicative. It was worth the fee.

A key to understanding the history and culture of New Zealand - Visited this place during my trip to the north island in April 25. Book marked to visit it because it holds a very important place in the history of NZ. So I thought if I were to have an understanding of the country that I was visiting (for the first time), then I better get there. The surroundings were lush, beautiful, and peaceful. There is a big car park on site (free of charge). The admission ticket actually allowed us to return the next day if we couldn’t finish it all in one afternoon. There is an indoor exhibition area with videos etc., followed by an outdoor area, with the option of joining a guided tour (which we did, and it was helpful with the additional information about the history of the site). There is a Māori house inside too, with further performances, dances, and interactive experiences with the visitors, which I greatly enjoyed. This place is very much worth a visit, especially if one wishes to understand the wonderful country of New Zealand properly.
