Awesome day - Had an awesome day out with Luke today. Would totally recommend going with Bafefoot sailing. We felt relaxed safe and very well informed about the local area. Lots of fun and a great way to try sailing.

Great sailing in Bay of Islands with Barefoot - We had an amazing day of sailing round the Bay of Islands with Barefoot today. Apart from being a great sailor, Luke is a really informative guide - and Barefoot support local conservation. At the lunch stop on a beautiful beach, there is plenty of time to chill, swim, snorkel, paddleboard or take a trek to another beach. The picnic was pretty tasty - and we saw plenty of blue penguins as we sailed along!

best day trip I have had in NZ! - I love boats in general and this trip exceeded my expectations - it was amazing. I loved the pace of the cruise - a good mix of sailing and very chilled with the right amount of time to ourselves to take in the views and islands. The all female crew was excellent and expert at making the day run smoothly. The lunch was top sandwich and treats, perfectly timed on Motorua island. We learnt we were also contributing to a great environmental community project called Project Island Song. That made the day even better.

Sunshine, Sail, and Birdsong - Luke and his crew were wonderful! He took the time to learn all of our names and to chat with everyone while we were on the boat. He pointed out things we would have easily missed, like hammerhead shark fins and kiwi tracks in the sand. The sail itself was delightful and the island beautiful with many birds. It was fun to have a choice of activities- walking, snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding. And lunch was delicious. One of the best tours we’ve ever had. Aimee and Bernie Doyle

Great day - As with the other five star reviews, you can’t go wrong. The skipper Sean and his first mate Kate were absolutely fantastic. Had a lot of information about the history, birds, penguins, the islands, tides sailing, you name it! Was a peaceful two hour sale/motor adventure, two hour island destination, which is two hours. And pretty much a full sale all the way back. Fantastic to see what the wind can do. Absolute would recommend, great value as well. For less than 100 American dollars, divided by six hours you can’t get that kind of fun. Thank you so much Sean and Kate, and barefoot!

Fun activity!!! - The crew were amazing and awesome. The beach was gorgeous. They did the best of it despite the unforeseen rain. I did snorkeling but waters were too cloudy from the rain. There is a limited four hrs street parking in front of the beach at your own risk of a ticket and the crew doesn’t recommend it since the activity is six hrs. It is highly recommended to park in the paid parking lot ($2.5nz/hr) about five minutes walk away. Lunch was an egg salad sandwich (definitely need to tell them if you have allergies or don’t like egg salad)
