Additional Information

Lower Antelope Canyon is known in Navajo as Hasdeztwazi, meaning “Spiral Rock Arches.” The majestic canyon formed over numerous centuries due to the persistent power of water and wind that gradually shaped the sandstone into the patterns, textures, and structures visible currently.

The panorama in Lower Antelope Canyon shifts continuously with the sun’s position in the sky, casting diffused rays over the rock facades. This constant alteration of sunlight angles reflects light to and fro across the narrow canyon’s sides, resulting in a mesmerizing spectacle of color, illumination, and shade.

Nature is amazing - Awesome! Well worth the time and money. My husband and I took our sixteen year old granddaughter, and we all loved it. Have to climb stairs.

Crazy beautiful place - We booked at the last minute so I was not sure whether the tour would be that great but it was truly amazing. The canyon is breathtaking - I am not a picture person but I could not stop snapping photos. Our guide, Antonio, was great too, providing lots of photo tips and neat information. He really helped make the tour complete we thought.

Awesome experience for everyone! Must see in Arizona! - We had such a fun time and got so many great photos! Some of the areas are challenging to maneuver and we would not recommend elderly or children go through the lower canyon.

Wonder Tour, Insightful Guide, Exhilarating experience in the Nava’Jo Nation! - Veleda was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and kept us safe and moving at a great pace. She provided so many great facts about the canyons and shapes in the rocks (like eagles or a woman’s figure). She took photos of each sub group within our overall tour at various locations. It wasn’t crowded at all probably because of the time of year. She also provided wonderful advice for us to get the best photographic results on our phones. Veleda’s colleague Ro even suggested we get hats to cover our heads and mouth coverings. Sand really does get everywhere so having a bluff, sunglasses or glasses and a hat really does improve your ability to enjoy and take in the majestic canyons. The tour company allowed us to jump on a earlier tour because they had space and we were early! My party and I really enjoyed ourselves! We would definitely return again! It was such a fun and wonderful experience. Thank you Veleda and Ro. Hopefully we see you soon again!
