BEST TOUR EVER!! - This was the highlight of our trip to Guatemala!! A MUST DO. Both me and my partner have never ridden a horse before this tour so we didn’t know what to expect. The cowboys made it effortless for us along with our horses, Manchas and Capitán. Lori was such a fun tour guide along with Jimmy and the cowboys. & The lava pizza was better than any pizza you’d find in any restaurant! We danced, drank wine, shared stories, pet the volcano dogs, and laughed a bunch. If I could give this tour a 1000/10 I would!

This was so fun! We were... - This was so fun! We were with a small group. The horses were well trained and accompanied by their caballeros. A pizza dinner was tasty too! My only disappointment was that we didn't get a great view of the volcanoes because the cloud cover didn't cooperate. Of note, the owners have non-profit horse clinic that just opened to help keep the horses in much of Guatemala healthy.

Great bucket list day - We absolutely loved our ride. Lori was an incredible guide from start to finish, offering mint candies during the windy drive, recommendations for local activities elsewhere in Antigua, info about the towns we drove through and introductions to our guides. The trip up the volcano was mellow, the pizza at the top was great, and the cute individual snores kits really made the children smile. It was very foggy on our day but that just made it a different type of experience. Would highly recommend.

One of a kind experience! - This was truly a one of a kind experience! I highly recommend doing this specific tour as it’s cheaper for solo travelers than the one where you have to hike the trail yourself and all proceeds go to supporting a great cause to help the local community. Niki was super helpful in helping me secure a solo spot with a group despite the tour requiring at least two people. Lori, our tour guide, was also amazing and gave us ton of great recommendations for the rest of our trip. She even helped me arrange a ride back to Guatemala City from Antigua at a cheaper cost than Uber as I was worried there wouldn’t be Uber available at night in Antigua. The horses were so gentle, despite the trail being a little bit rocky, and the local cowboy was great in leading the horses so that you can take in the scenery or take pictures. The pizza was also really delicious and it’s so cool to be able to say it was cooked on lava rocks!

Great time - Went with my 5 year old daughter, and we had an absolute blast! Communication was great from start to finish, Lori and the cowboys were very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. The only issue is that my daughter fell in love with the horse “Princess”, and she can’t take her home.

A Magical Volcano Adventure - Our horseback ride to Pacaya Volcano was a highlight of my travels in Guatemala. The ascent on well-trained horses offered breathtaking views and a thrilling experience. At the summit, the unique opportunity to eat pizza cooked over geothermal heat was both delightful and delicious. The presence of friendly local dogs and the descent under moonlight added to the charm and adventure of the tour. What’s more, knowing that the tour supports local communities made the experience even more rewarding. In summary, this isn’t just a tour; it’s a memorable adventure that combines natural beauty, culinary fun, and a touch of magic. A must-do for anyone visiting Guatemala!

AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME! - The ABSOLUTE BEST from start to finish! First of all, we made an error during booking and even though Nicki did not have to try to find us a tour guide last minute, she did! We recognize that she didn’t have to do that and we appreciate it! Our tour guide, Manuel, showed up and was immediately so engaging, inviting and enthusiastic! We have made a friend for life! He is exactly the kind of person you’d love to have for this experience (FUN & FUNNY!!😂)! He was so down to earth, talked to us about his experiences in Guatemala and he explained different aspects of the culture as well as the cool details about this tour program. This program does so much for their community and their efforts reach children, families, dogs and horses! This was an experience of a LIFETIME! Riding rescue horses Up to the clouds and sitting on a volcano, with the coolest guide (ever) and a cool group of people, eating pizza, listening to music and being present in the moment….it is a vibe that is unmatched! Extraordinary! - My wife and I took a sunset horseback ride on the volcano and we had pizza from the lava chef. All in all it was an amazing and unique experience. Our guide kept us safe the whole time and the cowboys who worked with the horses are very attentive and kind. This is a one of a kind experience…do yourself a favor and book this tour!
