Great River Experience - We really enjoyed our punting experience with Brad. Especially considering the strength of the current, he did an amazing job navigating and we had a really wonderful time traveling on the river.

Lovely afternoon break - We had a lovely trip round the river. Our guide grew up in Oxford and gave us good pointers about the sites we passed and some of the history of Oxford University. We also talked about English schools vs. American (I had a lot of questions!).

Great way to experience punting. - Well organised and so much fun. We had a great guide in Mac. He was friendly, knowledgeable and navigated us through a lot of punts on the river. Well worth paying for a guide if you just want to sit back and relax.

The best! - I did the walking tour with a History student and it was great. He explained tons of the city development city details. The great thing is that he also told us about the Oxford university life. I strongly recommend this tour.

Good tour, takes longer than advertised and you have to navigate yourself to the boating house for the punting. - The tour was interesting, we only got to see inside one college, and full of historical facts. Our favourite part was the punting and the guide who also gave us facts about Oxford in a very relaxed setting. The only complaint is that we were not dropped at the end of the walking tour to the boats, we were told to walk by ourselves for 15 minutes to get to the boathouse. That would have been fine if we knew before in the booking details but it wasn't made clear when it so easily could have been. This meant the rest of our day was disrupted because by the time we got there, queued, got onto a punt, it had added unexpected time onto our day. Therefore our restaurant reservation following the tour had to be altered and all of our subsequent plans. There was also an issue on the day due to the Town and Gown Race (a marathon) which meant road closures so getting to the tour even though we had allowed an hour's extra travel time, was a tight squeeze and there was no acknowledgement of this from the company which would have been useful as they could easily have sent a text beforehand to notify people that had pre-paid and booked, considering we had come from different cities/countries.

Not worth the money - We have been in Cambridge before so our expectations were to have similar experience, but unfortunately it was nothing alike. The boat was so narrow, it hardly could fit 4 adults, it was so low in water we were afraid to move, there was water in boat, so our shoes got all wet, and no blankets provided considering it was December. There was nothing to see during the experience, you just have a quick 30min loop around the empty field, in awkward silence, as the punting guide didn't say a word about Oxford.

Booked 30 mins, was charged for an hour - I wanted a half hour punt, which showed up as £80 for the four of us. Expensive, I thought, but worth it for a treat. When we arrived, I was told that in fact the £80 is for an HOUR’s punt, which we didn’t have time for, as I had only allowed 30 mins - as advertised on Tripadvisor. I asked for a refund but the punt boss said no. I wrote to Tripadvisor but they also refused to refund me the money for the half of the journey we were unable to use. My advice: be very careful you are not fleeced by Tripadvisor for the full hour, if you only want 30 minutes. It is expensive!
