Oxford, renowned as the ‘city of dreaming spires’, hosts medieval universities and spectacular ancient structures. We’ll delve into the city’s history, breath-taking architecture (including the Bodleian Library, Sheldonian Theatre, Radcliffe Camera and more) and the figures who were shaped by Oxford and, in return, contributed to its fame: Wren, Carroll, Tolkein; Alice and Potter!
We’ll also tour Christ Church, one of Oxford’s biggest and most visitor-friendly colleges. This is a ticketed attraction, however, the cost is well worth it. The Grand Hall served as the muse for Hogwarts, and several Harry Potter scenes were filmed here. The majestic 12th-century Oxford’s Christ Church Cathedral is nestled within the college’s premises.
