Learn from a local - Tony’s very friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous demeanor put my husband and I at ease as we walked around the city like we were the friends of a local just out for a stroll. His love for the city and university shines through while he provides the history and relevance of each location. We took so many pictures and now understand Oxford in a way we never would have if we had just wandered around on our own. Thanks, Tony!

Brilliant introduction to Oxford by Tony - Having just moved to Oxford, I was keen to get under the skin of the city—its history, character, and all the little stories tucked between the cobbled lanes. From the get-go, Tony had us all completely engaged. His knowledge runs deep, but what really stood out was how effortlessly he connected the dots—thoughtful, seamless, and with a good dose of humour. One moment we were taking in the grandeur of a famous college, the next we were tucked down a quiet lane hearing some wonderfully odd little story that brought it all to life. What really sets Tony apart, though, is his love for Oxford. It shines through in every story he tells. He’s got that rare knack for mixing thoughtful insight with fun, offbeat facts—so you’re learning loads but never once checking your watch. I walked away feeling genuinely more connected to the city. So whether you're brand new to Oxford or just curious to see it in a new light, Tony’s your guy. Not just a guide, but also one of the best ambassadors this place could hope for. Thanks, Tony. That was honestly such a treat.

Interesting and fun tour of Oxford's historic sites - We had a great tour with Tony & a group of friends. Lots of interesting facts & stories about Oxford and it's history. A good mix of information delivered in a friendly & chatty style with a mixture of university and city historical facts and anecdotes. The tour visited some of the most famous & picturesque areas of Oxford, even the rain didn't dampen the fun as Tony took us to the covered market where we learnt about it's history and connection with the colleges and local people. Highly recommended.

A really enjoyable and informative tour by a true local guide. - This was a really enjoyable and informative tour. Tony is an excellent guide who is very welcoming and delivers the tour in a nice easy to follow style. I particularly liked the emphasis on recounting interesting stories about Oxford and it's history rather than just delivering a rather dull list of facts and figures. Even as a local who grew up in Oxford, I learnt many new and fascinating new facts about my home town. I came away having thoroughly enjoyed the tour and feeling better informed and enthusiastic about the place that I call home.

Great Oxford City Walking Tour - We had a wonderful walk through Oxford with Tony. We particularly appreciate the fact that he did the tour with us, even though we were the only guests and therefore had a private tour with him. He told us wonderful stories about Oxford and the tour was a great experience for us. We can recommend him 100%, especially to those who prefer an individual tour in small groups.
