Very interesting and well managed tour. - I booked this tour sometime before I left and either forgot or did not register the pick up time. After flying in late the night before I was quite shocked to find a pick up time of 6.00. This was later changed to 5.45 yawn. However, the pick up went as planned and we went on our way on a reasonable comfortable mini bus. At over 6ft tall I found it a bit tight, but no different to what I expect anywhere. The driver, Maciej, was fabulous, very informative and kept us well entertained with some knowledge and some details about what to expect on arrival. Unfortunately it was raining and upon arrival we were faced with a 1 hour queue for tickets, I was not prepared for standing in the rain for quite so long. Another problem was the availability of English speaking guides. It was a choice of another long wait or go with a Polish guide, which we elected to do. We were given an English guide book, and just used the guide to guide us around. I have to admit the whole tour both Auschwitz and Birkenhau was very interesting, thought provoking and occasionally quite sad. You could photograph most areas, but I couldn’t bring myself to photograph some areas as I thought it was too personal. We were also given a free snack to make up for the wait. The only downside I found really was the poor behaviour of many of the teenage school kids from many different schools countries. Noisy, pushy and generally just rude. However, other people’s behaviour and the weather is not within the remit of this company, and I therefore cannot mark them down for that.

Great tour, highly recommend - I had an excellent experience with KrakowDirect day tour to Auschwitz. Clear instructions were provided where to meet for pickup, pickup was early but since Auschwitz is so busy it was good to get there in the morning. Driver was very good, he took good care of the group and drove safely. Once at Auschwitz he passed my group off to an excellent guide, Milosz, who gave us a guided tour of both Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz 2. From pickup (5:45) we were back in Krakow around 12:30/12:45. We had time for short breaks for bathroom at Auschwitz but no lunch so pack a meal or eat an early breakfast. All in all, I highly recommend this service, if you are like me and was unable to get a free ticket to Auschwitz online then the price (96€) is manageable for a very last minute tour.

Krakow direct fabulous - This company was absolutely fantastic especially the young man that drive us and got our tickets at auschwitz. He was friendly and kind and talked to us on the way showing us and explaining the history behind buildings, monuments etc. unfortunately the guide at auschwitz was not so good, her English was poor and we felt very rushed. I would advise booking with krakow direct for definite but go round by yourself to ensure you have time to process the emotions and what this trip means.

Thank you Artur - I will start with saying that the company needs to ensure the information they provide from booking coincides with what actually happens when you receive your text or email 12-24hours before, a pre warning about possibly not getting the tickets and queuing for hours would be the best way to start! I booked 7.30 hotel pick up with guided tour, I received a message the day before at 4pm changing time to 6.15am to my disappointment it told me that we would need to queue as we hadn’t secured entry tickets. My head exploded I went down the rabbit hole of reading about all the dreadful things people endured standing in the queues waiting to secure a ticket. We had a two hour wait in the lashing rain which believe it or not we didn’t mind as much as we thought we would talking to people from all walks of life, restaurant sold ponchos which where amazing kept us dry. Our driver ARTUR was a legend he looked after us better than I would imagine considering how the journey started, he got us a secured spot for 1pm which yes sounds terrible after arrived at 7.45am but krakow direct paid for a complimentary breakfast which ARTUR took us to a little restaurant in a town beside it which was absolutely lovely and we had the pleasure of getting to know him a little better. He was going to take us a little tour around a market square etc but the rain decided to pelt back down so instead he drove us around looking at the little towns beside it. It’s an emotional day and history that must be remembered and respected. I’m thankful to Artur for making this experience a little less hectic for my mental health. Krakow direct be honest when customer books straight away if you can’t get the ticket let them know so they can try on the site to get their own.

Paid for tickets and didn’t get the - KrakowDirect - Scam!!!! Travelled to Poland after booking our tour to Auschwitz with this company! Only reason to visit Poland was this tour. Booked, paid and confirmed a month in advance only to find out upon arrival in Poland this company had not booked our tickets at all. Was made to queue for 3 hours to not gain entry to Auschwitz. Paid €336.00 for pick up, no queues!!! Extremely frustrating and disappointing!!! After several phone calls to the office and emails we still have no response or communication from this company. After looking into this and speaking with the lovely locals of Poland, this happens again and again via this company. Avoid this company at all costs. Plus the taxi fares are more than double you’d pay from any other local company including uber.

Scam - Booked a group tour to Auschwitz museum several months in advance with this company - they accepted the full payment. Told us we had tickets and everything was booked. On the day before the trip they sent a text message confirmation changing our pickup time at the hotel from 7:30 am to 4 am, which we accepted without question . Theytook us to Auschwitz museum and told us that we had to queue up for tickets which we were confused about, as they said they had already booked our tickets. We waited in the queue for four hours only to be told by the management at Auschwitz museum that this company is a scam company and there are no tickets left to buy. So in essence they took payment promised us tickets we booked flights and hotel went to Auschwitz museum at 4 o’clock in the morning queued up for several hours, but there were no tickets. The museum said they only provide tickets booked directly on their website. What made matters worse was that, this company was recommended by and arranged via the hotel (Wyndham Grand) which is supposedly a five star hotel, so between the two of them they are clearly two companies to avoid - we are not pleased with the outcome. Do not use this company, book your tickets direct through the official website otherwise you too will be left disappointed.

SCAM / FRAUD Preying on Auschwitz Visitors and Survivor Family Members - SCAM / FRAUD - Scam Tour Operator Preying on Auschwitz Visitors This company is actively scamming visitors to Auschwitz, and their behavior is absolutely disgraceful. Here’s exactly what happened: I booked (and paid for) a private 7:30 a.m. Auschwitz tour for September 21st, with the clear expectation—based on their website and communications—that I would have a genuine private tour. What I actually received was the following: • False Advertising: The “private tour” turned out to be nothing more than a private driver to the museum, not a private guided tour. They purposely mislead customers into thinking they are getting a true private museum experience. • Ticket Fraud: This company routinely sells tickets they do NOT have. They try to buy tickets from the museum at the last minute, and if they can’t, they simply change your tour time—often hours before you’re scheduled to go. In my case, less than 12 hours before my tour, they unilaterally changed my confirmed 7:30 a.m. departure to 1:30 p.m.—completely ruining my plans and making my visit impossible, as I had a flight that evening. • No Transparency or Accountability: There was no warning anywhere in the booking process that they can change your tour time at will, and certainly no indication that they may not even have tickets when they take your money. I had multiple written confirmations (by email, phone, and text) in the days leading up to the tour, all confirming my original booking. • Deliberate Deception: I initially booked for Friday the 19th, but they scheduled me for Sunday the 21st—an error on their side. Their entire operation is built on misrepresentation and last-minute changes, with no regard for the personal, financial, or emotional cost to their clients. This isn’t just bad business—it is active, willful fraud. They are knowingly selling something they cannot deliver, disrupting and exploiting the experiences of people coming to honor the memory of those lost at Auschwitz—including, in my case, the loss of both my grandparents, who died there working in the underground and rescuing Jews. I flew to Krakow for this sole purpose, spent money on flights and hotels, and had my visit destroyed by their deception. This company is part of a larger problem: these operators snap up nearly all the museum tickets, making it nearly impossible for genuine visitors (especially non-Polish speakers) to book directly. Many have fallen victim to this exact scam, as can be seen in other negative reviews. I will be reporting them to the Auschwitz Museum, Krakow tourism authorities, the mayor’s office, and the media. They are defrauding visitors and exploiting the Holocaust for profit. It is unconscionable, and they should be put out of business. Do not trust this company with your money or your memories.
