A surreal experience - Greeted the reception staff who were friendly and polite. The young lady told us to get a bite and start the 2:30 tour as they usually get the animals ready to be fed. We went to the overpriced quaint cafe in a beautiful setting close to the farm animals, which we did not go see. We met our guide, Elvis, a knowledgeable, polite, friendly, good with kids gentleman who expanded our knowledge, love and appreciation for wild cats, their survival and rehabilitation. For the first 10 minutes we saw nothing and we resided ourselves that our entry fee was for a worthy cause. Well, the next moment we heard this 4×4 slowly approaching the enclosures sure enough all the cats came out to eat. What a must see visit. They are these majestic creatures, who tower over you whilst you stand in awe. Kindly tip your guide at the end of the tour for they are as much of an attraction as the big cats.

Lions, Tigers, Panthers, and more! - Wow what an amazing way to view these jungle cats. It was a particularly hot day, so many of them were resting, which is ok. That being said, we still saw SO many animals. Our guide was so helpful and informative in educating us about what we were looking at. One small piece of advice, if you're coming during a hot day, bring an umbrella, you're going to need it!

Great experience!!!!! :) - Thank you Xola for such an amazing experience. We learnt so much from you, you had such a great wealth of knowledge and you are very enthusiastic and welcoming. You take so much pride in what you do, it's very encouraging for our younger generation. They could all learn alot from you. You also managed to calm our 3 year old son a few times and even wiped away his tears when he was overtired and crying! Such an incredible human. Best guide ever!

Outstanding - This sanctuary is well worth a visit. Our guide, Xola, was incredible. He had so much knowledge about the animals and his enthusiasm was inspiring. I learnt so much about the history of Jukani and really appreciate why this place is necessary. The visit really makes you think about the purpose of Zoo’s today and private ownership of animals that should be “free”.

Well cared for animals - Good advice to visit for about 2 hours in the afternoon with feeding at c. 3.30-4.00pm. Guide very helpful and knowledgeable and we waited about 29 mins on arrive for next group tour. Given some of the comments was surprised there were quite a number of big cats and enclosures were quite large so we’ll worth taking the guided tour.

Nicely done and interesting - Wild cats of all kinds, some taken over from zoos, live in large, separate areas. Lions, tigers, pumas, jaguars, leopards, servals, caracals. Interesting tour. Get the combination ticket.

Mixed Reviews - We booked the Boma and night tour with wildcats. Our experience was good but there were quite a few frustrations. We arrived on time knowing the agenda for the evening, as did 2 other tables. However a group of ‘influencers’ turned up at 7.25pm which eventually delayed all of us by 30 minutes. The staff and team working on the day were completely distracted by these influencers, forgetting they had other paying guests to entertain. These influencers had cameras which certainly attracted the staff as they were basically marketing Jukani so they would benefit from it. The staff sat with the influencers all evening for dinner, completely forgetting other guests. At one point, I asked a waitress who they were, she said ‘they are influencers who have come from all over the world’. I then corrected her and said we have also come from the UK. At 9.25pm, our guide came over and asked if we had any questions, and we said ‘yes, when are we going on our tour of wildcats’. He said 9pm, but as he was so distracted, he was not aware of the time and we were delayed for over 30 minutes, so we started and finished the tour much later than expected. Disappointing experience because we too came from ‘all over the world’ and also paid for our tickets.

Ugly excursion. I would not go back - The truth is, I was very disappointed. Very poor. There are only two lions, two leopards, two zebras and one wolf. Nothing else And we couldn't see some of these animals because they were sleeping or hiding. The very abandoned place I would not return nor do I recommend it
