Kobus se Gat - Swartberg Experience - Begin your journey at Kobus se Gat Restaurant by checking in at the on-site farm shop.
From this point, you’ll be shuttled to the Swartberg pass summit (1583 meters above sea level).
At the peak, you’ll receive a mountain bike to cycle your way back down to the restaurant. This is your chance to take in the breathtaking vistas of the pass, which is celebrated as the most exquisite pass in South Africa and the ultimate challenge for gravel road enthusiasts.
As you descend, keep an eye out for the stunning display of Proteas and Fynbos, as well as wildlife such as Klipspringers, Eagles, Rock Hyraxes (Dassies), and other species.

Experience the rubicon of gravel roads while in the saddle of a mountain bike. You will be transported to the top of the Swartberg pass, 1583m above sea level where you will be given a mountain bike.
From here it is your time to experiment this winding pass with its steep zigzags and sudden switchbacks with breathtaking views at every turn. You can be entertained by over 500 species of fauna and flora in the back of your saddle, and down forget to keep a lookout for the Klipspringer (buck), Eagles, Dassies, and many other wildlife species.

Kobus se Gat - Swartberg Experience
Driving from Oudtshoorn, take the R328 towards the Cango Caves.
Before the Cango Caves, take the exit left towards the Swartberg Pass/Prince Albert.
Carry on with this road until you see Kobus se Gat Restaurant on your left.
This is where the tour will start.
