Amazing road trip and visit! - We really hesitated doing this tour because of the long road trip. We’re sooo glad we booked it last minute. It was spectacular— the views on the way as well as the site itself. Khalid, the driver, made the experience all the more wonderful! Highly recommend

Wonderful - All very well . Punctuality in the pick-up, safe, comfortable and quiet journey and I loved being able to enjoy the visit to the old house of Ouarzazate. Our guide Ali there was unbeatable.

Nice place to visit - The bus guide was friendly but not that informative during the journey compared to other guides we have had on this holiday and the guide at Ait Ben Haddou was very friendly and knowledgeable, sharing about his Berber life now and in the past. Giving us a good insight into the history of the area and all the films shot in the area. My mum struggled with the steps. The guide was patient and suggested places she could rest and wait for the rest of the group. The lunch was so so, and we felt the trip to Ouzazatte was pointless, 20 minute journey from Ait ben Haddou and nothing to see unless you want to pay to go into a museum, which didn't seem all that. We would have enjoyed more time at Ait ben haddou.

Definitely recommend - This is a long day tour, but it's worth it. The highlight of the day for us was the driving part. While others in our group took a nap out of boredom or watched shows on their tablets, we really enjoyed the wonderful scenery surrounding us the whole day. Took a lot of amazing photos through the car window. Beautiful mountains and very interesting landscapes and villages everywhere made us almost forget, how uncomfortable the old and rusty minivan was :D

Expensive and disappointing - Lovely driver however not the greatest English speaker, lunch was very disappointing, large salad just lashed on the table followed by chicken skewers with rice and Lentils. Chicken tough and cold as was the rice and Lentils

Ait Ben Haddou Day Trip - The drive was rather long. The van was a smaller one where the seats were more cramped together. The driver didn't speak English, which meant it was just a drive to and from the region. The drive itself is 4 hours each way, so be prepared. Ait ben Haddou was amazing and tons of history is there. It's nice to walk through the village, and then have lunch there. The second stop to Ouarzazate could potentially be skipped. They take you to a cinema museum which is a waste of time. The tour is self-guided, but nothing is labeled and there are no direction indicators. You don't know what movies or shows the things are in when you see them. They stop at Atlas Studios for 5 minutes to take pictures, but that would have been the better tour. It's only available for private tours. On the way back, there is an unnecessary stop in the mountain regions for coffee. The food and drinks there are expensive.

Prepare yourself for a 13 h trip packed with scams - Prepare yourself for a 13h trip on twisty roads along with 15 other people, some with kids that will have road sickness and tr.. up because of the speed the driver do on bends. No air con, open windows with a lot of dust. Every stop on the road, prepare your cash: toilet at the shop? Pay the lady. Drinks, snacks? 5 times the price. Upon arrival at ait ben haddou, a "guide" met us and said he will take us to the castle. Every time he saw us going ahead, was yelling stay with the group. The trick was, at the end he charged us 30 dirham each for his service, altough no one told us beforehand, and really there s no need for a guide. There s a small river that you have to cross on some stones, and 10 kids will take your hands aggresivelly and cross you, and then ask for money. Also, the guide will take you to a restaurant of their choice for lunch. Don t bother calculating what you had, price will be different anyways, saying there s an extra service tax added to this. In Ouarzazate there is not much to see. Except the movie museum, but you have only 45 min to do so. At the souvenir shops people take you in and if you refuse they will say something in berber very upset, probably you know. Overall, i would recommend you take the private tour, but i think won t solve all the problems. Morroco is a beautiful country, but a lot of people in there have no respect and they will do almost anything to scam you.
