Highlights
  • We’ll ascend through the scenic Idro valley on a comfortable dirt trail and will visit the St. Angelo Crypt, a sublime structure etched into the pliant rocks of Salento during the Byzantine era.

  • We’ll then progress towards Casamassella, pausing at the Costantine Foundation, a hub dedicated to organic agriculture and the preservation of weaving techniques using ancient looms.

  • Next, we head to Giurdignano, a key megalithic hotspot of Salento that houses numerous dolmens and menhirs, the earliest signs of human activity in the area.

  • Appease your hunger with a lip-smacking lunch organized by us at a traditional stone oven bakery. Post-lunch, we’ll bike to Porto Badisco for a leisurely pause, and if the weather is favourable, a dip in the water, you may also rent canoes if interested.

A wonderful day with Carlo to recommend - A very nice day with a guide who shares his passion of his land. We drove in very beautiful small country roads, discovered some monoliths and caves as well as their stories. Beautiful landscapes at the end of the day, along the coast. Very good & new e-bikes . Enchanted

Incredible coastal bike tour in Salento - It was a joy dealing with Carlo from beginning to end. He promptly responded to all inquiries and made helpful suggestions leading up to the tour. Our trip along the coast from Otranto to Tricase was wonderful! Carlo shared delightful stories about Salento during photo ops, food tastings and coffee breaks. He is multilingual, knowledgeable, kind and a lot of fun. I highly recommend Salento Bici Tour!

Carlo and his cycling tour and his team were awesome! Puglia is an undiscovered gem. - A couple of weeks ago we arranged an all day tour with Salento Bike Tours. We rode from Otranto, an all day tour. Carlo our guide made sure our pace was relaxing. We stopped at a fruit stand and met locals. And met more locals over a special espresso called a cafe Leccese. (coffee and almond milk). We lunched in Tricase Porto. The pace of life In this part of Italy it is wonderful. Everything is slowed down from the fast pace of life it and feels great to “get slow.” The cuisine in Puglia is delicious. We rented a house 5 min walking from little Specchia. Had a fantastic trip. Thank you Salento Bici. Billy Salento Bici Tour, Lecce.
