Broken Contract - Broken Contract [**This tour deserves ZERO STARS**] Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to change the date of our tour by one day. We were within the cancellation policy by booking with Viator. We had a confirmation of the change of date however, the tour operator emailed asking for an additional $165 for the date change. We refused and should have canceled the tour. The operator agreed to do the tour without additional payment. We were picked up at the airport without a problem. We asked the driver if he was the same person taking us on the next day tour. He said no Jim would see us at 2 pm. However, our tour was scheduled for 9am. We emailed the operator when we got to the hotel. He emailed we were no longer were getting a hotel pick up. He said he was short guides and we would have to start the tour at 2 pm. He wanted us to meet Jim at the first tour stop. We had no idea how to get to the first tour stop in Tokyo (we were in Yokohama) and the tour operator provided NO information or directions to the meeting point. It was now after 5pm without any idea about our prepaid tour we scheduled for 9am the next day. We would have never realized this fiasco had we not asked our driver if he was taking us on tour the next day. We realized part of our next day tour was lost as we would see things probably in the dark (5 stops/5 hours plus transit=6+ hours means the tour would end sometime after 8pm) and have the extra expense getting to an unknown meeting point in Tokyo. This was totally unacceptable. Thankfully Viator also felt this was an unacceptable breach of contract and helped us cancel the tour without penalty. That is why when we travel we book with Viator.
