Ostuni, ‘The White City’ due to its lime-painted houses in the historic center, is a top tourist hotspot in Puglia. The guided exploration of Ostuni commences from Piazza della Libertà, which houses the magnificent municipal palace and the prominent, baroque-styled Sant’Oronzo column rising nearly 21 meters high.

In the same square, you’ll also explore the archaeological digs of the ancient walls and the guard tower before heading down via Cattedrale, laden with local artisan shops, businesses and regional food offerings. You’ll eventually arrive at the cathedral named after Santa Maria Assunta constructed in the 15th century. The façade is embellished with three stylish pointed arch entrances and a striking 24-ray rose window.
