The trail includes back-country terrain with sand, uneven ground, and narrow paths.
Guests should bring a change of shoes (in case of water on the trail), drinking water in a reusable bottle or hydration pack, sturdy hiking boots, pocket flashlight or headlamp (for emergencies), walking stick or hiking poles, and bug spray.
Park admission is not included in the hike fee; entrance fee is $5 per car, exact change required.
Pets are not allowed for the comfort of all guests and pet safety; certified service animals are permitted.
