• Frognerseteren - The journey begins at the tour center located in the heart of Oslo. As the scenic train ascends into the forest, dusk will start to settle. This twilight, where shadows play, serves as the ideal entrance to the forest’s concealed secrets.

Upon departing the train, only the soft glow of a headlamp will cut through the darkness. Participants will navigate hidden trails, fully experiencing the serene beauty of the winter scenery. As the blue hour fades into night, the forest undergoes a complete transformation.

• Nordmarka - However, this is not just any walk. Guided by an expert, participants will hear ancient folklore that is intricately tied to this place. Beneath the forest’s tranquil surface lies a world rich in legend. With each step on the snow or rustle of leaves, one might feel the mysterious presence of the unseen. Could Huldra, the enchanting spirit of the forest, be just beyond the light’s reach? Perhaps a troll or another ancient creature that inhabits this forest is lurking in the shadows?

Soon, a welcoming glow will draw participants closer. Around a crackling bonfire, they can warm their hands with steaming Gløgg, Norway’s version of Glüwein, along with traditional snacks. Share tales of the nocturnal journey and the whispers heard in the woods, as the fire flickers and the stars gaze down.

This tour offers an opportunity to explore the mystical, dark heart of the Oslo Forest for a memorable nighttime adventure. As the blue hour arrives, a magical twilight moment referred to in French as l’heure bleue, the journey commences. • This tour takes about 3.5 hours including public transportation. Walking distance is about 3 km.
• Children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult. Recommended minimum age for children is 5+ years old.
• Reasonable standard of fitness required. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear. Please bring gloves for each person in your group.
• A minimum of 6 people is needed for this trip to run
• On this tour we do not have any toilets available, but we do have plenty of “Facilitrees” in the forest ☺️
