Seeing Oslo in a day - This was a great way to get around and see the sights in Oslo. We used this off the cruise port. We had to walk down to the corner past the Fortress to get on a they no longer pick up from the Port. They do however drop off at the souvenir shop at the Oslo port. There are free earbuds near the drivers station. You can listen to history and information in several languages about each stop **make sure you get on the right bus. There is a similar bus in operation. This company bus is stamped "official" city sightseeing tour

Worked well for us! - We had only one day in Oslo and wanted to see many sites. This was a most convenient way to get around and to spend as much or little time at all the interesting places. Don't miss Vigeland Park!!! FYI our preprinted ticket said hours began at 10 am, but we found buses running earlier than that!

Hop on hop off was... - Hop on hop off was exactly what we wanted. It got us to and from Vigeland park in a timely manner and we also got to see parts of Oslo.

Ticks all the sights, no a/c. - Easy to pick up the bus at the cruise terminal, unlike in Copenhagen, and the bus stopped fairly close to main sights. However it was advertised as air-conditioned and it wasn't, and it was hit, with lots of customers using the maps as fans. It would put me off doing this again in warm weather.

Disappointing - Beware and double check your tickets - We bought tickets online for the Red bus Hop On Hop Off and went to the departure point, showed our tickets and were then told that the Company we bought from was Stromma and was a Swedish run company which was not the genuine tour. After much talking and convincing by Mr Amer Zakeria, we bought tickets with the Red Bus company and were told that we should go to the Information Centre at the Station and they would refund our Stromma tickets so long as they had not been scanned. The tour went ahead but initially the driver forgot to switch on the Audio so we had to request that at the University stop. Then we found only one earpiece was working but we could still hear. We alighted at the Museums and when we went back to the stop to reboard, there were several people waiting. A bus appeared and they attempted to get on only to be told their tickets were for the Red Bus bus - and the driver of the Stromma bus said loudly that he was the genuine company and the other one was a fake. Confusing ? You bet - especially as the buses looked identical. Finally I went to the information centre and told my story only to learn that, of course, they cannot refund the tickets because for one thing they did not sell them! They also told me that the two companies are privately owned. We wasted 800NOK and I am sorry but this has put a very bad taste onto our impressions of Oslo. We always take the Hop on Hop off bus in each city we visit and have never had an experience like this. My advice - BEWARE.

Horrible customer service/cancellation policy - I purchased my ticket online prior to departing for my trip from Canada (Oct 12) choosing the date October 24 for my use. When I arrived in Oslo Oct 24 I was surprised to find out they were not operating that day. So I filled out the refund on their website and bought a ticket for the other hop on hop off company in Oslo. I received an email later stating they did not do refunds within 24hrs of travel date. I received no notifications that they were not operating on the 24th so how was I to cancel more than 24hrs. I responded to their customer service with this and they responded back stating my chosen travel date was Oct 12. Well no, I purchased the ticket online Oct 12 for a travel date of Oct 24 and was not even in the country on the 12th. They refuse to refund the ticket I purchased even though it is them that was not operating, but continue to state the ticket is valid for 1 year. I came from Canada, i will not be returning to Oslo anytime soon. This is shady business practices in my opinion, so beware of their cancellation policies because even if it is their scheduling that is at fault, you will not be refunded. I can live without that money, but it is the unprofessional business practices that causes me to warn others.

Bad customer experience - I made a mistake in booking and was told I unable to change the day because it was too close. I asked right away after booking. Did not get to enjoy it. Chose another company for my trip because this was didn’t care about me as a customer.

Total waste of money - Commentary was very partial - most off the tour it only mentioned stop numbers, which incidentally did not match the stop numbers on the map. Also the commentary was out of sync with the bus position on the route. The tour circuit only lasted 60 minutes but this turned out to be a good thing. I couldn't wait to get back!
