A tour unlike one I’ve ever done - This tour was so interesting - you get to find some cool spots you’d never find on your own, and hear all about some of the less talked about parts of the city. This tour really helped me see another side of Japan that I didn’t know about. Big thanks to our guide, Mari, who has a wealth of knowledge about Osaka and is so excited to share it.

Fun Times in Osaka on a Unique Tour - This was a very unique and interesting experience in Osaka. Our guide Mari was amazing and very knowledgeable about the culture and the history of the city. We explored some very off-beaten paths and saw some very interesting sites.

Excellent tour to get a feel for Osaka! - An absolutely fantastic tour and guide. Gave very interesting and informative information on the areas he showed us! The tour guide was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! And was able to answer pretty much all questions without a problem! Highly recommend this tour!!

Backstreets Tour of Osaka - Great experience. The tour showed many interesting insights into Japanese culture and without giving too much away, I highly recommend it if you want to discover the Osaka backstreets through the eyes of a local. Our guide Brian was knowledgeable, warm and very funny! Thank you.

Great night tour with tons of insights - Tommy was great, with his knowledge and understanding of the area. He is an 'import' from Australia but has learned his way around and provides great commentary and allows for lots of fun!

An eye-opening walking tour! - Interesting tour! We had Brian leading us. A total Irish character who knew his stuff! Definitely off the beaten path—but Japan seems a bit tame to me—how different could it be? But we carefully were shown more local areas and learned all is not quite as pristine as it seems. Sampled local foods. And the highlight of the tour was a definite eye-opener!!! This added a bit of dimension to the more touristy sites we had been seeing.

Amazing Tour! - We had a wonderful evening exploring the backstreets of Osaka with Alex. I learned a lot about Japan, Osaka, and some of the darker themes that are often overlooked by most visitors. Our group was small so it felt very intimate and casual, which was exactly what we wanted. The food on the tour was great and let us experience a variety of Japanese street foods. If you are going anytime soon (December 2025) make sure to wear warm clothes as it can get quite chilly.

Insightful, worthwhile tour! - It was a very interesting experience exploring the darker side of Osaka-not your typical tourist hotspots.
Our guides Rudy and Alex were so knowledgable and shared unique Japanese history. The tour is a little over 3 hours of walking but very easy since there are breaks along the way. They even provided a surprise snack of chicken karaage from Shinsekai. Making the experience that much more authentic. Rudy and Alex were very open and put all of our questions at ease.
Highly recommend this unique experience to all adults.

Highly recommended! - An excellent small group tour with Kevin as our guide. He gave us great insight into the lesser known, less touristy side of downtown Osaka and it made for a fun, interesting and and engaging night. My husband and I had been on this tour a few years ago and enjoyed it so much that this time we brought along our daughter and son- in law. It didn’t disappoint and the food we had at the end of the tour (if you book this addition) this time was very enjoyable! Thanks again Kevin!. We thoroughly recommend this tour if you want to go on a tour with a difference!

Backstreets of Osaka tour - Taka was very knowledgeable and took us to some interesting places around Osaka. Highlight was definitely seeing the red light district which is not something you would normally experience. Would recommend this for anyone wanting to see a different side of Japan. We had the dinner option included and felt the variety was ok but could have been a little more substantial.
