Great Food Tour! - What an incredible food tour in Osaka! We went to authentic places to eat, all of which were delicious. The tour guide Andy was very knowledgable about Osaka and put lots of effort into planning this tour. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Osaka!

Fantastic Guide, Fantastic Tour. Highly Recommend! - We had a fantastic time on this tour - definitely one to book when you’re in Osaka, it was a highlight of our trip! Andy is a brilliant guide - very kind, funny and makes sure everyone in the group is included. For the tour itself, all the reservations at restaurants along the tour were expertly planned and at a nice pace that you weren’t rushing but also weren’t waiting around. We tried lots of different foods and restaurants that we would have otherwise missed. Andy will cater to dietary restrictions as well which is great, we had a vegetarian in our group who was very happy with their alternative courses. As you make your way through the Shinsekai district, Andy will also make sure you are given historical and cultural information and is happy to answer any questions you have. I think the highlight for us on this tour, aside from Andy himself being such a great person to have a chat with, is seeing the relationships that he has built up with the different restaurant owners. He gets on so well with them and we had opportunities that we probably wouldn’t have had otherwise, like trying our hand at flipping takoyaki or having the place to ourselves at the stand up restaurant for the last stop of the tour and having a great chat with the chef there. It very much felt like a community feel in Osaka and gave us a very different perspective from the all the neon lights. Thanks very much for such a great tour, Andy!

DO THIS FOOD TOUR!! It rocks! - We spent the last and best 22 hours of our week in Japan in Osaka, and Andy deserves most of the credit. His tour was fabulous. He's super funny - a Brit/expat completely at home in the food world of Osaka. The neighborhood (which was designed to look like Coney Island c. 1920, seriously) is fun beyond belief. He picks restaurants he would actually EAT AT, not places (like most tours) that cut him the best $ deals. The food was both authentic and excellent. 2 adults, a 22 year old and 18 year old all give him an A. Indeed an A+...when I booked the tour I asked if he knew anyone who could custom tour the four of us the next morning for 4 hours before we dashed to our plane. He was booked himself, but sourced a former coworker who gave us another solid A experience. The travel world has become "viatorized" - most food tours are now OK, but not more than that. Andy's doing it the right way. It was/is a perfect way to kick off a visit to Osaka.

Can't say enough good things about this tour! - What a fantastic evening! Andy was a great host. The food choices and venues were spot on. Everything was delicious and alternatives were made available if dishes werent suitable. Finished the evening full of food (struggled to finish the dish) and sake. So if you want to try the best of Osakan local dishes book this tour!!

Not only for food, but genuinely local fun experience! - This unique local experience was possible because Scott, an American Osakan, resident for the past twelve years was so integrated to the people, culture and food. This was the best person to guide us through the colorful maze of the Osaka night / food scene. This was not only a degustation of local dishes but a hangout. Scott was very kind and attentive to our needs!

Food, History, and FOOD HISTORY! - Wonderful food tour in the heart of Osaka - with both delicious food and learning about the historical significance of the area, location, and dishes! Andy is a great tour guide - not a pre-determined script that is endlessly rehearsed. Instead, he's a wealth of knowledge opening up dialogue with us - starting us off with some of the info of where we're at, the dishes we're eating, and then opens up the floor. I learned a ton about Japan and how the history of the country shaped it into the modern Japan that we all know today! Another thing is normally that awkward feeling of 'being with strangers'. Andy does an amazing job of connecting each and every person on the tour making it feel comfortable!

Great experience! - Great way to experience both Osaka and Japan! All the food we tried was delicious! It was really fun to meet other travelers and bond over food. Our guide Scott was very knowledgeable and friendly!

The Feast and the Glorious - This was exactly what I was looking for when visiting Osaka. I love cooking and food and since Osaka is known as Japan’s kitchen I had to try everything I could. Andy made this tour fun, lively and interesting. Food and recommendations were spot on and I feel I was relaxed but I’ve seen and tasted everything I had to. Thanks Andy once again.
