Location depends on tide and experience of the person(s) taking the class. Beginner class occurs 1 hour after low tide.

Professional Surf Instructors - Excellent instruction from the professional teachers.
Safety is first, fun follows. My daughter and her family had so much fun. This experience was the highlight of their vacation. Such a beautiful location. Thanks so much to South Surf Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Best surf experience in Costa Rica - The guys were super easy going from the beginning to the end. I texted the night before and they found me a spot the next day in the afternoon. I had zero experience and our coach was very helpful through the whole process. We had a quick break with water and fruits provided to us and we even got drones footage for free at the end of the day. From other experiences I've heard of these guys are by far the best deal you'll get in Costa Rica. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking for a fun and simple experience.

Best Place for Surf Lessons - These guys are just fantastic! Came by without a reservation and no problem to get my 13-year daughter a lesson. They were so kind and spent extra time teaching her to turn. They took a break and provided the class with a fresh Pineapple and cold water. It's so laid back and relaxing. They only take cash and we were a few dollars short. No problem for them. They take pride in the beach which is the best in the area. Boards are new and rentals are very affordable. They know how to make you feel welcome and relaxed. Great job South Surf Reno!

Pura Vida! - What an amazing experience. My wife and I were first time surfers. Josue started with the basics and within 30 minutes, we were already standing on the surf board in decently sized waves. Josue was extremely patient with us, was attentive to mistakes that we were making, and really made the whole surfing lesson enjoyable and valuable. I promised to Josue that I would send him pictures and videos if I took my surfing skills to the next level. 100% you should try the surf lessons with Josue, it was one of the best experiences in Costa Rica.
Let’s not forget the fresh coconut water, pineapple that Josue provided along with high resolution pictures. Thank you Josue! Pura Vida!

The Absolute Best Experience | Book Lessons with South Surf Costa Rica if you're near Uvita/Dominical! - Josuè and the South Surf Costa Rica team were a highlight of our trip, so much so, that we returned for a second visit & set of lessons. From start to finish, we felt relaxed & welcomed. The South Surf Costa Rica team takes hospitality to the next level; if you haven't already, you'll fall in love with Playa Hermosa and surfing. We were a large group of kids and adults and Josuè's team, with ease, guided 7 of us through surf lessons during our trip. Those of us who didn't surf still felt the good vibes. 100/10 recommend booking some time with South Surf Costa Rica.

A bucket list experience - Jussue and his staff were amazing. I'm 65 years old and they treated me as family, funny, jokes and friendly. They spent time teaching my group about water safety and surfing safety. They took care of us so that everyone felt safe and comfortable. I recommend him and his crew for anyone who is a beginner. I got up and rode a wave. Did I mention I can't swim, that is how safe this operation is. Two hours of fun in the sun.

Great experience, a must do in Uvita! - Memories for a lifetime! My wife and I took a surfing lesson here. Josué is very detailed, patient. He made sure we felt safe the whole time, with a great sense of achievement at the end of the session. Chris took some amazing photos. Also, what a breathtaking location! Friendly people, we highly recommend!
