Unforgettable experience - The tour with Tracie and Gianfranco was truly outstanding. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and professional. They not only have an incredible depth of knowledge, but a wonderful way of presenting it that is engaging and fascinating. The time just flew by. The best tour I've ever had by far.

Night tour with Tracie and Giancarlo - It's hard to describe how special this tour was. I was tired and a bit grumpy at the start of the tour and was devising ways to get out of it early.......but then, Tracie and Giancarlo worked some kind of magic and the time flew by and I would have stayed longer. Their enthusiasm and love for the creatures we encountered was equalled by their in depth knowledge of them. It didn't feel like a tour....it was more like meeting their friends. I can't say enough good things about going out with these 2 except that it is a rare and exceptional experience. Thankyou!!!

Scoping out wildlife near Corcovado - The night trek was really good fun and well delivered by two knowledgeable guides. We loved learning about the natural histories of the animals we spotted.

Educate, inform, and entertain - We took five different night tours in Costa Rica, all good, and all surprisingly varied. However, Tracie and Gianfranco stood out as the easily the most expert and knowledgeable guides, specializing in the creatures of the night. The net-casting spider was a particular treat. If you only get to do one night tour, this is the one to take.

A wonderful evening - This was absolutely one of the best things our family did in Costa Rica. For our bug-obsessed 11-year-old it was the pinnacle of her vacation. For the rest of us it was a fascinating evening. Tracie and Gianfranco’s depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for nocturnal fauna are unmatched.

Fun night seeing creatures in the jungle! - We had an awesome time on the night tour with Tracie and Gian. Both have incredible knowledge about the Costa Rican jungle and found lots of cool things for us to see! I won’t spoil the specifics because many are best left to learn about in the moment, but we did see lots of frogs, spiders, a snake, an opossum and bat eating some fruit! They’ve got an awesome scope to see the night wildlife up close. The logistics were easy to work out. Tracie sends you exactly how to find the tour and is very well organized. If you’re looking for a tour don’t hesitate to do this one!

The Night Tour with Tracie The Bug Lady - An amazing experience! Tracie and her husband were wonderful tour guides. They gave an inspiring and exciting tour. They found numerous night animals and had a great presention. They had an iPad attached to a spotting scope so everyone could see the animals they found at the same time while they gave fascinating information about the animals. They were very professional, friendly, and personable. Highly recommended and a trip highlight.

Things at night! - Bugs are not my thing, but my husband loves anything outdoors, so I booked this excursion with him in mind. I enjoyed learning about the unique traits each creature that was sighted on our tour had. Tracie and her husband were very knowledgeable about all creatures and did an amazing job at finding things to show us on the tour. We were all amazed at how they were able to discover all the hidden gems that are out at night. You will not be disappointed on this tour. It may not be your thing, but step outside your comfort zone and you will be amazed at the fun you can have learning about things you don’t ever want to touch! Thank you both for taking the time to show us what you love about the creatures that live in the Drake Bay Area!

Very interesting your of bugs and more! - This tour was great. Tracie and her husband are incredibly knowledgeable, and were full of interesting facts and anecdotes about bugs and all animals. We saw a lot in 2-3 hours, and we learned a lot too. The way the tour was run meant that we were almost always looking at something interesting and exciting, as they were always finding something every few metres! Their scope with a screen for viewing meant we got a great view of everything, even if it was far away. Also very safe and careful your operators. Highly recommended

Incredible and educational - This tour was fun, and we learned so much from Tracie and Gianfranco; they were incredible and engaging guides. We didn't have to travel far from the lodge to see many different species, we were completely fascinated with all of the scientific and other information they provided. The species list, photos, and references they shared after the tour are a great resource. Highly recommend!
