Orange Beach - Two hulls provide stability for a smooth ride without leaning to one side. Come enjoy a two-hour sail at sunset aboard the Cetacean, a 52-foot Hawaiian catamaran. With the wind in our sails, the Cetacean skims along the waters of Orange Beach, Alabama and Perdido Key, Florida. While out sailing, you’ll see coastal wildlife and marine life all around. Take in the sights and sounds as pelicans and cormorants dive into the water; bald eagles, egrets, sea gulls, herons and osprey fly nearby; schools of bait fish surround the sailboat; and our resident pod of dolphins plays in our bow wake.
Our knowledgeable tour guide and captain point out the local flora and fauna. You may see osprey and their nests, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, and maybe even an alligator or two. The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife. Because the boat only needs 16 to 18 inches of water underneath, we can sneak into creeks and swamps where few other boats can go, providing you with a truly unique and memorable experience.

Embark on our two-hour dolphin and nature cruise in Orange Beach, AL. This cruise integrates all the highlights of the dolphin cruise and added meandering time in the secluded creeks of the back bays. The first hour is dedicated to locating and observing the local dolphin pod, while we utilize the second hour in the marshes. Our expert tour guide and captain provide insights about the indigenous flora and fauna. It’s not unusual to spot ospreys in their nests, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, among others. The Explorer is specially equipped to get as nearly as is safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife. Given that the boat requires only 16 to 18 inches of water to navigate, it allows us to venture into areas like creeks and swamps that are inaccessible to most other boats, thus guaranteeing an experience that is truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable.

Beautiful evening on the sailboat - We were upgraded when we arrived, to the Cetacean . We really enjoyed the experience of the sailboat. The captain and crew were very friendly. The drinks were delicious and the ride was very smooth. Even though the sunset was hidden by the clouds, we still enjoyed it. We did get to see a few dolphins too.

Dolphins laughs and all around fun! - This was such a fun experience. It had a little bit of everything, we got to see the dolphins. We had fun singing and dancing and then got to witness a wonderful sunset. The captain was knowledgeable and pointed out different types of wildlife as well as pointed out landmarks in the vicinity. Overall, it was a wonderful time laughing, dancing and getting to experience nature. The crew was so helpful and funny making sure everybody got to see the dolphins. I highly recommend this dolphin tour!

A Great Time! - It was a beautiful night and a great time. The crew members were a lot of fun and made sure our dolphin viewing was spectacular, especially when we raced with the other tour boat so that the dolphins would follow and jump in between. Returning into the sunset made the experience that much more special. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Great cruise - Capt Smithy was awsome and very knowledgeable about the area. We saw a bunch of dolphins. Aaron and Harmony really got the trip going and the drinks they made were great. We met lots of new friends and even did some dancing. I would highly recommend this cruise.

I’m so glad I went!!! - First of all, the crew was second to none! I booked this excursion at the last minute and was having trouble getting to the dock on time, and the company CALLED ME and asked how they could help me get there! The sweet woman, Elise, stayed on the phone with me, gave clear directions, and didn't even let anyone load the boat until I arrived! It was so, so kind. Once aboard, the captain was super friendly and caring, and so was the crew. It was clear that we were going to have a GREAT time. I was disappointed for a moment because I thought we would be in the ocean, and this was a separate body of water, but this was absolutely worth it because we saw so many dolphins! The captain knew where to go to find them. I could tell he loved what he was doing. Another man on crew took sunset photos of us and they are photos that I cherish now. They had blankets to pass out to us as the temperature dropped. The drinks were great. Everything was thoughtful and amazing. I went alone and had a blast! Do the sunset cruise!
