Alabama’s Finest Dolphin Cruise
Our premier, and certainly our most favored, cruise offers a remarkable two-hour tour of Orange Beach, AL with a focus on dolphin watching and nature exploration. The journey is divided evenly: the first part is dedicated to spotting and observing our resident dolphin pod, while the latter takes you deep into the marshy depths of the back bays.
Guided by our expert captain and tour guide who shares insights on the regional wildlife and vegetation, you might come across ospreys and their habitats, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, and perhaps a couple of alligators. The design of our Explorer vessel allows us to get you safely closer to the banks teeming with local marine life and animals. Since it only requires a depth of 16 to 18 inches of water, we’re able to venture into hidden creeks and swamps untouched by most other boats, promising you a truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable trip.

Wonderful trip. - The trip and scenery was worth the cost, and seeing the dolphins up close was just an added bonus. The captain and crew were a lot of fun. We would do it again if we are back here again.

Dolphins Eco Tour - I brought my husband, some of my family members, and my best friend to Orange Beach to help celebrate my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed watching the dolphins. It was the first time I had ever been that close to dolphins in their natural habitat. The captain, tour guides, and assistant were excellent. Their hospitality and sense of humor were comforting and made for an enjoyable experience. Last but not least, the music was great as well!

Great Experience! - Such a wonderful experience, we saw more dolphins than expected and they came up close to the boat. The crew was very professional and fun, the snacks and drinks were a great addition, and the music was awesome! We definitely recommend them for a dolphin tour!

Dolphins up close and personal! - After carefully reading all the reviews, my family and I booked our 2-hour dolphin and nature eco tour from Cetacean Cruises. It was all we had hoped for and more! We wanted a cruise that showcased wildlife in addition to dolphins, and we saw a variety of birds (osprey, blue heron, even an eagle's nest)! The boat itself, although spacious, only holds 36 passengers, so it was nice to be able to hear and see everything without fighting through a lot of people. Captain Lynn was personable, funny, knowledgeable, and great with kids (he let all the kids "captain" the boat)! The crew, Tina and Carrie, answered questions, served drinks and snacks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, waters and snacks for $1), and worked hard to make sure everyone was taken care of (even offered to get a blanket for our 6-year-old, who was cold). Better than all of that, though, was the dolphin show -- we probably saw 10 - 15 dolphins, many very close to the boat. At one point Captain Lynn got them swimming, jumping, and playing in the boat's wake. It was quite a show, and we considered ourselves very blessed to see these amazing, graceful animals up close.

Amazing Experience! - This was an absolutely amazing cruise that did not disappoint! We started seeing dolphins before we could even pull out from the dock and continued to see them the entire 2 hour cruise. Captain Lynn and his crew were the best you could ask for and took such great care of us. Do not miss out on this opportunity!

Highlight of our stay - Captain Lynn was not only knowledgeable about the birds, vegetation, and dolphins, but he was quite entertaining. We really enjoyed seeing eagles, in addition to several pods of dolphins.

The wind and waves in my... - The wind and waves in my face. Very warm day friendly crew. Less boat traffic would have helped the dolphins.

Disappointed - We took this tour because it was supposed to be educational, but there was very little narration and we learned nothing new. The ad said we would explore hidden creeks and back bays. We did not, even though the captain mentioned the heavy boat traffic on the main water body numerous times. We saw few dolphins and then only the tops of their backs. They went under water in 2 to 3 seconds, so we did't get any pictures of them. The reasons we rated this cruise a 2 instead of a 1 were because the crew was friendly and it was a beautiful afternoon for a boat ride. S & L
