The Call of the Andes

The allure of the Andes has always been irresistible to me. As a biologist and environmental activist, the opportunity to explore the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was a dream come true. The journey promised not only breathtaking landscapes but also a chance to delve into the rich tapestry of Inca history and culture. I was eager to experience the magic of Machu Picchu at both sunrise and sunset, a rare privilege that few get to enjoy.

Our adventure began in the early hours of the morning, with a train ride from Ollantaytambo along the Urubamba River. The Magic of Machu Picchu
