- Oia - As soon as we pick you up from your hotel (or nearby) we will head to the picturesque village of Oia. Famous for having the best view of the sunset, Oia is a traditional village perched on a cliff. You will have the chance to stroll down its narrow stone-paved paths and enjoy some coffee somewhere overlooking the vast blue of the Aegean Sea.
Leavin Oia behind us, we will move on to the Monastery of Profitis Ilias, where you will get a glimpse of the spiritual side of the island. the monastery was built by two monks in 1711 and features an exterior stone wall that makes it resemble a fortress. During that era, it was an important cultural and educational center as it also functioned as a school for several decades.
