Wonderful experience - The trip to Ohrid was a great way to see more of the country and to better understand the history and culture of North-Macedonia. Ohrid is a nice city (not to many tourists in May), and the view over the lake from the fortress was beautiful. Alexandar, or guide, was informative, professional, interested and answered all of our questions with great knowledge as well as with a more personal view. In retrospective there are a lot of questions we would have liked to ask, but we only first thought of them later. We would highly recommend this trip!

Magnificent Macedonia - This was the perfect tour. It will appeal to lovers of art, history, and the great outdoors. Both my driver and guide were absolutely a joy and incredibly informative. One of the best tours I’ve ever had.

Could not have been smoother - An absolutely perfect tour from start to finish! I was met with Daniela* at my accommodation, and we set off for Ohrid in a very comfortable car. Daniela gave me a quick history lesson of Macedonia and of Ohrid before we got there. In Ohrid, we were met by the guide, Ivana*, who then took me around all of the incredibly interesting sights in Ohrid, as well as the breathtaking views around the small town. I learnt about the rich history (churches, theaters) from Ivana, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the history behind all of the churches we went to, the fortress, the monastery, and of Mavrovo (and everything close by)! I even asked Ivana how she knew so much, and it's very clear that she just loves history and loves to share it even more with visitors. Highly recommended tour that goes throughout the entire day (it does take awhile to drive to Ohrid and to Mavrovo)! It was nice to not have to think about what to do, especially when traveling alone and have no one to bounce ideas off with. Going on a guided tour also makes it less lonely! Also, my personal favorite was the papermaking workshops that Ivana showed me near the start of the tour - one of seven places in the world that makes paper by hand (not a typo!) with the old traditional way. *Apologies for mis-spelling names!

Excellent tour guide with extensive historical knowledge and good tour plan - Our trip covered many beautiful places around Western North Macedonia. Our tour guide, Suzanna, is deeply versed in Macedonian history and told us a lot about the history of Ohrid and also Macedonia as a whole. She even talked to different university professors to find out more about Macedonian history and was able to answer virtually every single question we had about the buildings and artefacts. We learned a lot about the Ancient Macedonian Kingdom and its connection to the modern North Macedonia, as well as the historical significance of each Orthodox church in Mavrovo and Ohrid. The tour was like a mini-historical and cultural lesson about Macedonia. The sceneries were brilliant for photo ops as well. The trip was truly worth it and we recommend it to anyone who will visit Skopje.

Great Trip - I had such a great time with Susana and Robert. Susana was genuine, easy going, and incredibly insightful and the whole day felt like a family outing. A nice mixture of different sights and activities but all related at the same time. 100% recommend.

Mavrovo is absolutely stunning in the fall! - I absolutely couldn’t get enough of the views between Mavrovo and Galicnik! If you love the outdoors, fall is a wonderful time to explore this area. After seeing the breathtaking colors, I only wish I’d stayed in the area longer to hike and really soak it in. The highlights were perfect for the time I had allotted for this particular day though. My guide Suzana was very knowledgeable about the area and provided a lot of interesting history. The one thing I was surprised to see is that the underwater church is no longer underwater. You can actually walk into it now which wasn’t possible a couple years ago. A fascinating area throughout, your camera will be very happy!

Great day! - We spent the day with Lide and Danijela going through Mavrovo (stopping at all the best photo spots) down to Ohrid, which is a beautiful city! All the way both there and back we were talking about Macedonian history, current political affairs and quality of life. Very informative and also a very friendly experience! Explore Macedonia also organized a car transfer for us to Belgrade, and were very helpful in taking us to the proper testing facility to get us the required PCR tests for the border. We really felt in safe hands!

Absolutely perfect - It was absolutely perfect. Suzanna is an amazing guide. So much culture, so interesting, I did 3 tours (Kosovo, Skopje and Mavrovo-Ohrid) and nothing bad to say about this except it went so fast. I would definitively recommend these tours and next time I will come to this incredible country that is North Macedonia I will try the others!!! Thank you again for everything, you made my trip and offer me a lot of incredible memories.

Fun Day - The tour was amazing. Ohrid is beautiful as is Mavrovo National Park, especially the monastery. I would highly recommend Suzana and Robert.
