Jamaica travel advisories! - It is with great disappointment that certain media outlets are telling travelers to avoid Jamaica for safety reasons We are finishing our second trip to this incredible island…this winter. We have been lucky to enjoy winter vacations throughout the years in many places…different parts of Mexico, Hawaii, sun destinations in the USA…but our favorite by far is Jamaica. Whether it be a particular boutique hotel in the heart of seven mile beach…or one of the very special all inclusive resorts in Negril…or any of a number of very nice all inclusive resorts in Montego Bay and other special locations on this Island…we love coming back to Jamaica. The travel advisories are unfounded and irresponsible. We feel EXTREMELY safe from the moment we are picked up by our long term professional drivers at the airport…who by the way are very aware of the level of safety anywhere on the island. We feel 100% safe on the beach when at our Negril hotel…including walking the beach many times a day with 100’s of happy like minded tourists and even at night walking to and from any number of restaurants (very special). If you are at an all inclusive resort…you can’t help but feel safe while on the property. Every property has security on site...not that it’s ever needed. Jamaicans are wonderful warm and friendly people…from our many experiences they appreciate and value tourists and the relationships that are made. I am writing this sitting at a very large all inclusive resort in Montego Bay…with hundreds of people many are young families having the kind of Amazing vacation that most people only dream of. Naturally…like all cities there are places one should avoid…no different here…but those are not the resort locations. Seriously…if you are lucky (and smart) enough to plan a vacation to Jamaica…do not hesitate!!! Plan well, check with people you know that are familiar with this special Island…and go!!! You will fall in love with Jamaica like millions of others that come back over and over…just like us. N&S from Canada.

Lively! - My family of 4 (daughters ages 11 and 15) did this excursion and it was really fun. The staff was engaging and friendly!

Fun & beautiful experience - Snorkeling was so much fun! Our guides at the falls were amazing. It can be a difficult climb, but they took the time to make sure we got to the top safely and made it fun! There were options to climb to the top beside the falls also. The party cruise back was fun, the ladies made sure we had a drink in our had the whole time. 10/10 would recommend!

Relaxing day - On your trip to Jamaica,the Dunn's River Falls is a must see...the water is cool and relaxing...the staff are exceptional not to mention the food which is prepared by excellent chefs...take an hour or two ou of ur trip schedule and visit the Falls...u will always come back for more.

More? - Expected more that’s all! I don’t want to say more about the situation It’s aggravating it just says more. That’s what I wanted. Interesting 🤔

Horrendously overpriced, super short time on the catamaran. - Too much dicking around waiting for everyone to sign waivers and get wrist bands. The waiver should have been available to fill out online before we got there. Had to sign our names on two additional lists after the waiver. More dicking around. What are these list for. No ones reading them. It’s the smallest marina you ever seen. There is one catamaran for everyone. Spread people out mon. Come on. You go like 500 ft and then it’s half an hour to snorkel. You barely go anywhere. Back on the boat it another 1/2 a kilometre to the falls. That’s it. That’s the catamaran TOUR. We toured nowhere. Cat tours 10x better in Playa or Cancun, Costa Rica, Hawaii, even Cuba. This was lame. The hike up the falls was fun. That part is ok but you could just stay in Ocho Rios and walk to it for free. Finally you get to eat at 3 after doing everything. Drinks with dinner are not free and way overpriced. I gave 3 stars because the free drinks on the boat were stiff and the falls was fun.

Down hill - I’m sorry to say, although we have a catamaran that leaves from our beach and does the same stops I had convinced my friends to go on cool runnings, because of how much fun been in the past. This time was so disappointing and started late, which wouldn’t be such a big deal but I’m not sure if that’s why the actual booze cruise part of it was so short they used to get us so hyped up, but they only got us hyped up for the last five minutes or so we only had enough time for like two drinks it just was not what it used to be and I don’t think I’ll ever do it again unfortunately and it makes me so sad cause I’ve done it five times so I definitely know it’s changed. usually get us all drunky pants this time we didn’t even get a buzz. It was quite boring. Also they used to give you Jamaican patties now they gave us two small pieces of pretty bad chicken and we paid $20 for food because we would’ve starved and it was like frozen vegetables, flavourless rice and peas and some mediocre fried chicken and we also had jerk chicken and it was also not very good. It was just overall not what we expect from them and they should not be selling food from that restaurant. Whatever it is at Dunn’s river. they should just be making their own food and even upping the price by like $10 it would make it better
