The Tour was amazing! We had a chance to listen to Mr.Dennis who started the breed in the U.S and has worked to preserve these fine horses! Our tour guide was well informed of the lineage and history that has been started on Gypsy Gold Farm. We met each beautiful horse and learned about the story behind the breed. We were grateful to be shown around and welcomed kindly! Please stop by and experience this unique place and see a gem of a breed and farm. Thank you guys again for being so kind to me and my wife!

The farm and the animals were all beautiful!! Enjoyed listening to Dennis’s story and how far he’s come with all his animals. And Eileen was fantastic!! Her knowledge of the farm and each and every animal was amazing and I can’t thank her enough for letting me hug Justice, he was awesome!! Will highly recommend this tour! Dennis and his sister-in-law Eileen gave us the history of the breed, the story behind the love of these gentle and beautiful horses. We had quite a few of us in our group but it was a lovely engaging group of people. By a few I mean 10 relatively. So engaging! So laid back! No rush! Just true dedication to their farm, horses and the care of herd. Eileen cut up the apples we brought and we were all able to feed the horses. We had little ones in our group! Eileen brought a utility vehicle for the grandmother and children to ride on the tour and not have to walk! So thoughtful. We met a parrot named Salvadore! My husband is Salvatore. And his late mother’s name was Eileen! So many synchronicities. If you ever have the time, this tour is a must do! You just leave in a happier place than when you arrive! Love and kindness abound at Gypsy Gold Farm!

My husband and I visited for our 49th wedding anniversary, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the farm. The horses are beautiful and friendly--as are the donkeys (miniature and mammoth). Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We got to see and pet 5 foals about 1 month old. We were very impressed by the care of the humans for the animals as well as our glimpse into gypsy or traveler culture. Thank you to all of the folks at Gypsy Gold for sharing your love for these beautiful animals and making our visit so relaxing and enjoyable.

It was an honor to meet the people who had introduced the Gypsy Vanner horses to the US back in the 90's and founded the breed registry. I was amazed at how truly wonderful these horses are in person.We had a great time and a lot of fun walking around the 40 acre farm getting to know them..there were also some mini donkeys, mammoth donkeys and mules to close out the tour..I will be back for another visit in the future..

Didn't go as hoped. The website shows the Gypsy Gold horses to be magnificent. Our in person impression was much less. There was one horse in the barn in show quality condition, clean and groomed, the other horses were all in paddocks dirty and ungroomed in appearance. A volunteer who works at the farm showed us around to most of the horses. Very nice person but didnt really get a professional feel from her tour. The barn was large and functional, but no wow factor. After walking the various paddocks with the volunteer for an hour, we hung around on our own for about 10 minutes, and then took off . Just our experience, yours may be better.

We arrived 10 minutes early and when we approached the barn, the tour guide had already begun explaining things to the other guests and did not acknowledge our arrival, introduce herself to us or greet us. We both felt ignored. I had to ask her what her name was. The owner of Gypsy Gold acknowledged that he talked too long during his initial speech by saying, “I’ll shut up now.” He spoke in a low volume and monotone voice which made it difficult to hear especially on top of the cockatiel’s screams. My friend had warned me that the owner talked mindlessly saying, “He’s a talker.” She had spoken to him once on the phone when initially inquiring about the place. My friend and I agreed that we enjoyed seeing the beautiful Vanner horses, but there weren’t very many up close encounters. My friend expected more of a “show” than just walking up to the fences. If they had watched the weather, they may have been able to cut the long talk to half the time which may have given us time to see the donkeys before it pour buckets of rain on us. The umbrellas were appreciated but there wasn’t enough for everyone.
