Additional Information

With a history of conducting tours over two decades, I possess profound knowledge about my city and its neighboring areas. My depictions of Mexico are authentic and personal, unfiltered by our country’s school-taught narratives. The superior craftsmen that are a part of my tours are exclusive, ignored by other tour guides who choose locations offering personal monetary benefits. I prioritize offering my tourists the finest experiences. It’s often the guide, not the seller, who is blamed by a tourist for a deceitful experience. While money is an undeniable necessity, its value is temporary. In comparison, warm and pleasant memories are enduring. Embark on a journey to explore with your loved ones the visual and auditory delights of Oaxaca, the most indigenous State in the country. Here, you will find a reminiscent of the past. I am all ready to welcome you, and if your arrival timings align, I may even greet you at the airport.

Great little find of a Used car garage run by Genuine honest folk. - My son was searching fir used car's and sent me a link for this Garage to have a look at a car he liked,it was a Vauxhall Corsa 08 plate. My husband and myself went to have a look and the lady that we dealt with was truely lovely she left us to have a good look around the car on our own,we then were able to test drive it and were happy with it apart from the brakes which the gentleman who owns the garage did mention....so long story short we arranged to buy it . They put it through a new MOT...did the brackes and anything else at no further cost to my son he has had a little problem since with engine management light staying on but they were swift to act on this. So my advice is if you want a good used car make this garage your No1 to visit they are EXELLENT all round thank you Master Cars and keep neing so genuine ....not many garages are today.👏🏻👍🏻

Explore Oaxaca with a Local! - We booked Roberto for a private tour of Oaxaca's surrounding sites, and Roberto came through like no other. From the day I reached out to him via email/whatsapp he was communicative, informative, and enthusiastic about showing us all that Oaxaca has to offer. He made lots of great suggestions on places that typical tour groups don't visit, such as homes of artists and artisanal weavers, and also took us to the more well travelled spots, like Hierve de Agua, Thule Tree, and Mitla. He was flexible in accommodating to our interests, and even stopped along the way to point out interesting things to us, such as the Benito Juarez Memorial and prehistoric cave paintings. For our trip he picked us up in a Chevy Suburban which was very comfortable and spacious - perfect for the long drive to the waterfall. But what really makes him special is his personality, generosity, and passion for his culture. If you're looking for a private tour, Roberto's your dude.

Incredible day - All of our stops were amazing. Our family got to experience Oaxaca in a way we would have not been able to do by ourselves. Roberto is an excellent guide as he is courteous and very knowledgeable. We already booked a second tour.

Fabulous driver in Oaxaca... Roberto is top notch! - Our experience with Roberto was fantastic! He speaks perfect English and was able to tailor some tours for us, while also recommending some wonderful places we did not know about (including a fabulous 9th generation weaver). He was always on time and the vehicles were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed learning about Oaxaca from him and enjoyed his company very much. He is very outgoing and friendly, and seems to know a lot of people in the area. He was an integral part of our memorable visit, and I heartily recommend him to anyone considering a trip to Oaxaca!

Amazing and knowledgeable guide! Great day. - Roberto is an amazing and very knowledgeable guide who took us to the best places! His warm relationships opened doors to places many tourists don’t get to visit. We saw master artists, weavers, chocolate artisans, quaint villages and more! He shared many stories and some history and tailored our tour to our wants. Communication was great. Highly recommend!

Personalized Insider Tour - My spouse and I met Don Roberto at our hotel for Tour Itinerary 1: Tule Tree and weavers with mezcal tasting. The tour did not disappoint! Don Roberto is a safe and considerate driver. He knows all of the artisans of the workshops we visited, and receives no commission from any of them. One of the places we visited was the studio and home of Bularmo Perez Mendoza, master weaver. His work has been displayed at the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, NM, and the International Latino Cultural Center in Chicago. Don Roberto knows each artist and craftsperson personally, and he himself is open, warm, and personable. Highly recommend for a meaningful, culturally insightful tour. Note: the tour is an all day thing. We left at 9:30 and were back at our hotel at 4:30. Don’t plan this and something else. Give yourself time to enjoy.

Highlight of our trip - Roberto is an incredible human being, two days of sightseeing and he felt like family. Honest, trustworthy, and wonderful gentleman. From the moment we saw him waiting for us at the airport in the evening, we knew we were in wonderful hands! While having trouble trying to find our hiding Airbnb, he talked to our host to locate it and made sure we were safe and sound before he left. The next two days he took us on a wonderful driving tour into the villages to observe a plethora of local artisans. His selections were wonderful, and we never encountered other tourists, so we had lovely one on one experiences. I usually drive all my vacations in the US and abroad and decided to take a break for once. His driving was perfect as he managed some crazy inner-city streets (I'm from the east coast and have in driven in NY often so I know ;-) Everything we chose to do was at our pace and discretion. It was a sad moment for my 21 yr. old son and I when we knew we had to part with Roberto and continue on our journey to Huatulco. If we ever get back, we will look him up for sure! I will tell you he is a must for your visit! He was the best part of ours! <3 Thank you again, Uncle Roberto, Julie & Jake

An excellent day with a true gentleman. Worth every penny! - A very satisfying day with bilingual Roberto. We went to a master weaver's home and, after an insightful explanation of the natural dyes and various natural fibers, were able to buy fine rugs at a very reasonable price from a master who lectures at folk art symposiums in Chicago and New Mexico. We already have orientals from Persia and a Navaho rug and those we were shown are excellent rugs. We also went to a local family shop that makes its own chocolate from cacoa, and were able to participate in a hands on demonstration. Then a fine lunch and a low key Mescal tour and sampling at a small distillery (at my request). Also the tree of Tula, the fascinating exterior of a church which incorporated native temple stones and more. The tour ran over the six hours but Roberto would not hear of any additional fee. No tour bus crowds, an informative narrative and the pleasure of meeting a true gentleman. I will recommend him to family and friends visiting Oaxaca.
