- Santiago Matatlan - We will visit a mezcal factory to learn step by step, the entire artisanal process of making our drink. At the end of the tour, we will have an unlimited tasting of different varieties of mezcal, where you can learn about the different categories and classes.
- San Pablo Villa de Mitla - We will take a tour of our majestic agave fields with thousands of specimens, where we can learn more about this plant, as well as having enough time to do a couple of activities and of course the best photographs.
- Doa Chica - Finally, we will share a traditional Oaxacan meal in a local restaurant, already included, and of course More Mezcal!

Additional Information
Our experience is an educational tour to learn about the culture of mezcal and all the tradition that surrounds it.
We will begin our trip starting from the center of the city of Oaxaca and we will visit the towns of Mitla and Matatlán. There we will take a walking tour through our majestic agave fields with thousands of specimens, where we will be able to learn more about this plant, as well as having enough time to do a couple of activities and of course the best photographs.
Then we will continue to an artisan mezcal distillery to learn step by step, the entire artisan process of making our drink. At the end of the tour, we will have an unlimited tasting of different varieties of mezcal.
Finally, we will share a traditional Oaxacan meal at a local restaurant, already included, and of course, More Mezcal!

Amazing Mezcal tour! - Amazing day! Karen was such a fantastic host, we loved her and learned so much. My partner ended up having an allergic reaction and Karen was such a great and considerate help to her.

Beautiful and unmissable experience!! - We found it to be an excellent experience as a couple, we learned a lot about the mezcal process and above all the explanation from Ricardo and his attention were great. Super recommended as an unmissable activity in Oaxaca.

Amazing! Just book it! - Alfredo was an amazing guide and the trip was super fun and unique. We made 3 stops, explored an agave field, used a machete and drank some amazing mezcal from the agave leaves while learning about the history. We then stoped at a distillery where we sampled 10 different mezcals and go to see firsthand how the mezcal is made in the artisanal way and even eat some of the sweet agave hearts before they are fermented. After some snacks and an amazing tasting with a great guide and new friends we had dinner at the family restaurant in Milta and had an amazing sampling of food and MORE mezcal! It was a great trip, well planned, and the 6 hours flew by!

Exceptional day out! - This was a fun and memorable day out. I joined as a solo traveler and had a great time. There’s a lot of mezcal to taste, a hearty meal and excellent explanations. I particularly enjoyed our time in the field where we had quite a few laughs!

A highlight of our trip - Alfredo and Karen provided a terrific and fun tour. It was extremely informative, had a huge variety of samples, and ended with a great meal. They shared the pride, passion and hard work that goes into mescal.

Now I can be a mezcal snob :) - We loved seeing the whole process, and especially tasting the cooked pina. Karen is so knowledgeable about mezcal and Oaxaca. Lunch was a delicious end to the journey.
