    In this experience, we will go to Etla traditional market, where we will obtain the necessary ingredients to prepare the recipes of the most traditional dishes and to try to preserve the quality and flavor.

The dishes that will be prepared in this experience are dishes made from corn, chilies, seeds, cocoa and herbs prepared by “Tita” a traditional cook of Mixe origin with many recipes from previous generations…
The menu will include:
– Grasshopper memelitas
– Huitlacoche Memelitas
– Egg memelitas with holy grass
– Empanadas
– Mole
– Water chocolate
– Mezcal
–Yolk bread
–Fresh flavored water
We will eat while listening to legends, tales or stories of Tita told in Mixe language and translated into English, at the end of the meal we will return to the meeting point which is the agency.

Culinary fun in Oaxaca - Great cooking class ! The chef was informative and willing to share his Grandmother's mole recipes with us. The class size is limited so that everyone participates. It is very " hands on". We were able to choose the types of mole we wished to make. We enjoyed our completed mole with chicken at the end. Chef froze our remaining mole for us to take home. Highly recommend this experience for foodies and wannabe foodies.

Great cooking class - highlight of our Oaxaca trip - Oaxaca has a tremendous range of interesting and exciting experiences for travelers, and this cooking class was the highlight of our trip. The class is located not far from the Zocalo. Keri and Aurora were wonderful, taking us through cooking two different moles (briefly shown how to do each step, then doing it ourselves) while sharing their experiences growing up in this part of Mexico and learning to cook from their families. They had all the ingredients ready to go and the cooking was tremendously fun. Beyond cooking some great food, we also gained a little insight on life in Oaxaca.

Amazing and Authentic - This class was fantastic! Great insight and knowledge. The chef teaches an authentic recipe passed down from his grandmother. His style is simple and clean. If you're looking for a mole class, this one is straight to the point; plus it's in Centro proper.
