A must do when in Oaxaca - Hierve de Agua is something not to be missed when in Oaxaca. It’s a beautiful place. The hike may be too difficult for some with knee problems. Otherwise, a must do.

Great trip for meeting other travelers and seeing this natural wonder - I booked the tour very last minute with zero expectations. We were a group of 5 people - perfect for getting to know each other. The van was great - good air-conditioning and with stops for toilet and/or buying some snacks. We had an guide that could speak very good English on the way to HIerve el Agua - explaining significant things along the way. Thanks Johanthan for keeping us company and making the group bond.

Boil the Water in September - We loved that they pick you up at a point very close to the temple and drop you off at the end. Excellent vans, very comfortable! We went in mid-September and we didn't get a cloudy day! Very comfortable, recommended

Perfect half day... - Perfect half day excursion. Hike was a level everyone can do. Swimming in the pools at the end was delightful. Makes your skin feel so good. All topped off with a coconut with mezcal at the end. Lovely that

Just Beautiful! - The Hieve el aqua half day tour was amazing! Our driver was very informative. The petrified waterfalls was unbelievable. The hike was certainly doable and so glad we did it. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The water was cold but lots of people were in and the scenery was breathtaking. So happy we chose to do this tour.

Half day petrified waterfall and pool tour - The tour was exactly as described, I was really impressed by the petrified waterfall and the hike all the way around it! Our tour guide Jonathan was super helpful and made sure everyone had a great time! I also heard that there caves that can be explored.

Poor communication - Terrible communication from tour operator. We booked this as a large group of 12. We asked for a private tour and received no confirmatory response or communication back from the tour operator until their arrival to pick us up. You need cash in Mexican pesos for entry. We were dropped in the parking lot with no instructions of how to enter the trail. Driver told us he had never been there before. Hike to the base of the waterfall is quite strenuous. The description of this activity needs to be more detailed.
