- Santiago Apoala - We will start our adventure around 7:00 a.m. approximately on our way to Apoala. You will enjoy Beautiful landscapes. At your arrival you will enjoy a walk through the paths of the enchanted forest, observe some rocks, a cave and more things the nature has to offer in the company of a local guide from the community.
Our next stop will be the main waterfall, called “cola de serpiente” meaning snake tail. Next you will visit an enchanted lagoon where we will enjoy the colorful and unique turquoise blue water. You will have the opportunity to swim and enjoy the beautiful view.
If you wish the host could take pictures from your cellphone to capture the excellent panoramic view and take incredible memories home.
We will begin our way back to Oaxaca city around 5:00 p.m. and drop you off at your hotel

Our journey to Santiago Apoala will commence at 8:00 am with approximately two hours’ transport to reach the community. We shall be surrounded by nature’s embrace along the paths of the mystic forest, taking in the sight of rock formations. We start our trek guided by a local, towards the two stones coupled with the legend of the ‘cave’. An opportunity for a traditional breakfast, complete with coffee and tortillas, will be extended if desired! We will initiate our trek to the primary waterfall, known as ‘serpentine tail’, an absolute photo stop! Our journey progresses to the Enchanted Lagoon, which is known for its unique turquoise blue waters. You could go for a swim and take in the blissful scenery. This trip promises to leave you with remarkable memories and stunning pictures of the natural landscape. NOTE: THIS TOUR IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON SATURDAYS. Caution: Avoid undertaking this trip during rainy months.
