A must do experience! - What an amazing day we had with Zenon as our guide. Monte Alban was breathtaking and the detailed history was so interesting. We headed to Alebrijologo and saw the awe inspiring artistry of the wood carved and hand painted spirit animals. We stopped for lunch which we included in our booking, it was delicious. Next stop was in Santo Tomas Jalieza to see how textiles are woven and the woman had been doing it since she was 8 years old & is a 5th generation weaver. Our last stop was to see how black pottery is made. So incredible to watch! I highly recommend this full day tour. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing experience with expert guides at a great price! - We highly recommend this trip to Monte Albán. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the people, history, geography, and agriculture of Monte Albán. He fluently transitioned between English, Spanish, and French. The site is stunning, the traditional craftspeople are incredible, the cost is very reasonable, and we would 100% do it again.

Don’t Miss This Tour! - Our driver Zenón was outstanding- knowledgeable, friendly, a great driver, and he was very thoughtful regarding our personal needs. Monte Alban was fabulous, and each of the stops after that was wonderful. The families who did the black pottery, the wood carving, and the weaving were very welcoming and informative.

History, Culture, and Fun! - We don’t usually book day tours on our trips but are happy we did this one. Our guide was wonderful ! We learned so much about the history of monte alban while Zenon shared his reverence and knowledge of his Zapotec culture. Our visit to the pottery studio in San Bartolo was also fascinating. Because of road closures he had to change our route a bit, but we still ended up with a full enjoyable day. The van was comfortable, we made new friends, had a good lunch, and came away with a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Oaxaca. Highly recommended.

Must see if you're in Oaxaca - Learning the history of Monte Alban. And the story behind the statue found on the ball court representing the ball game, or the worship of the Sun. It was extremely interesting.

Inspiring, spiritual, amzing - Our guide was really knowledgeable and informative. We appreciated how he first ask for permission to tour the grounds in his native indigenous language. Very worthwhile tour. My only complaint is that the bus was too crowded. Give the leg of this experience it would be best to leave a few seats empty.

Historic ancient site. - Lots to see. Worth taking a guide, be aware that there are many steps. wear good walking shoes! Take a hat. There is a restaurant and shop on site and a small market on the approach that you can buy a hat at and souvenirs.

Great guide, great day, van too crowded - The guide, Zenon, was AMAZING. Very moving that he shared a little of his Zapotec culture. Knowledgeable about history and a wonderful guy to spend the day with. The only downside is that the company crammed 14 people into our van. It was too crowded.
