Fun fast small group - The boat ride was fast and fun. We could walk from the Hilton! Even though it was rough weather, we saw turtles and lots of fish. Great to be in a group of just 6 people! Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed... - We thoroughly enjoyed this snorkeling tour! Alex (the captain) and Santiago (the dive guide) were very upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. The small boat, 6 guest, format allowed for a very personal experience. Santiago guided us through the water away from the big boat crowds making it a relaxing outing. I have been on big boat snorkeling trips before where it seemed you were always getting kicked by some other guest. Santiago avoided that for us. We highly recommend this tour.

Great crew, busy location - The crew, Alex, Zola, and Santi, made sure we felt comfortable and safe from start to finish. The 6 person limit is great for an efficient, uncrowded experience its important to note that Turtle Canyon is the destination for MOST excursions from Honolulu, so there are a lot of people and boats in that spot. Fresh pineapple and a quick photo op with Diamond Head in the background topped off a great excursion. I'm glad I chose this excursion.

Beautiful morning snorkel - We had a great time with Captain Alex and Santiago on this trip, saw lots of turtles and fish and got a close look at the reef. Santiago was in the water with us and shared lots of good information about the area and wildlife. I definitely recommend this small group experience!

Can't wait to go out again! - I had the most amazing snorkeling trip with Captain Max Boat Tours. Our guides, Garett and Santiago, were friendly and professional, the equipment was clean and comfortable, and the boat was spacious and well-maintained. But the best part was the wildlife we encountered in the water. We saw a pod of Hawaiian Spinner dolphins swimming and playing around us. They were so curious and playful, and they came right up to the boat. It was incredible to see them in their natural habitat. They seemed to enjoy our company as much as we enjoyed theirs. Another highlight of the trip was when we saw a humpback whale and her calf on a mating run. They were majestic and graceful. It was stunning to see them breech the horizon and race towards the horizon. A humbling and awe-inspiring experience that I will never forget. But the best part of the trip was when we got to swim with the sea turtles. Santiago was a wonderfully knowledgeable and kind tour guide, ensuring we all had a moment to see the turtles. I was amazed at the clarity of the water and the closeness of the turtles and fishes. I highly recommend Captain Max Boat Tours for anyone who wants to snorkel with turtles. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I am so glad I did it. It was the best snorkeling trip I ever had, and I can't wait to do it again.

These guys are awesome - The two gentlemen in the Boat helped me considering I have a lot of mobility issues And I also have a water phobia which I wasnt real aware of until I got out there and I wasnt gonna get in the water but they were so nice and one man actually stayed with me in the water the whole time I was there this is a great bunch of people. they are very helpful patient and Understanding So there's definitely worth trying You might want to bring a Extra shirt or towel for the way back Because it is a little cold After you've gotten out of the water and the wind is blowing on you like it is.

Amazing snorkel experience - This was a wonderful experience. So much more private than a huge group. Garret and Alex do a wonderful great job at what they do. They go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy this experience with them.

Great experience for our family - It was a great experience for our family! I chose "semi-private boat" tour, because it gives you more attention and seems like "family friendly" tour. Captain Max and his partner(staff) is very friendly and gives you an instruction in detail, so if you're a beginner for snorkeling, you don't have to worry about it, because they are there! Also, when you are on a boat, you can feel like riding on a jet ski, which was so much fun! If you are experiencing motion sickness like me, Captain Max will give you motion sickness relief inhaler. Just enjoy!!

Snorkelling with Sea Turtles - Swimming with Sea Turtles was on my cousins bucket list so after sorting through all the different tour options, we chose Captain Max’s semi private tour. There are only six guests and a crew of two on the boat. They were so helpful explaining the safety rules and getting us fitted with the snorkelling gear. One of the staff gets in the water with the guests acting as lifeguard/ tour guide. He pointed out turtles making sure that everyone saw some. We had so much fun watching the turtles and fish! We were even treated to a pod of dolphins that swam right through our area. Apparently the dolphins do not always frequent the area. The dolphins swam near our boat part of the way back to the harbor! We enjoyed the entire experience so booked a second outing with them on the las day of our trip!
