Highlights
  • Diamond Head State Monument - Our first stop is on the outside slopes of the world-famous icon of Hawaii, Diamond Head Crater, where we stop at the Amelia Earhart monument which overlooks the Pacific Ocean as the 100,000-year-old volcanic crater towers above you. *This tour does not include an entry inside the crater, but makes a photo-stop on the outer flanks of it.
  • Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve - Hanauma Bay is a stunning and iconic natural bay located on the southeast coast of the island of Oahu. It is a well-known tourist destination and a popular spot for snorkeling and swimming. The bay is formed within a volcanic crater, which has since been eroded by ocean water, creating a beautiful and sheltered crescent-shaped beach.

*We do not stop at Hanauma Bay

  • Halona Blowhole - This is an intriguing geographical spot where the ocean has undercut the lava and drilled a hole through to the top. “From Here to Eternity” and “51st Date” movies were filmed around here.
  • Tropical Farms (The Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet) - This location had been partly used to film the “Jurassic Park 1” and the “51st Date”. You can taste samples and purchase all different kinds of Macadamia nuts.
  • Mokoli’i Island - It is located right across the Kualoa ranch. This area had been used to film the Jurassic Park and 51st Date !!
  • Banzai Pipeline - One of the most famous pipeline beaches in the world is located on the North Shore of Oahu. The Banzai Pipeline, commonly referred to as “Pipeline,” is renowned for its powerful and dangerous waves, attracting surfers from all over the world. During Hawaii’s winter season, waves can reach heights of up to 20 feet.

*Stop dependent on road conditions & driver discretion due to high surf Oct - Jan.

  • Waimea Bay - Waimea Bay is another gem up on the North Shore of Hawaii. which was one of the filming locations used for the television series Lost, for an one hour of fun. In the winter months Waimea Bay is also home to the famous Quicksilver Big Wave Invitational in memory of Eddie Aikau where some of the top professional Surfers in the world compete for the biggest prize in surfing. Larger surf at the bay went unridden for years until November 7, 1957 when a handful of surfers finally paddled out and rode the giant waves that break off the northern point of the bay

*Swim at the beach OR go to Waimea Botanical Garden Waterfall Hike.

  • Waimea Valley - Instead of Waimea Bay stop One can choose to visit the Waimea Valley, a well paved hike (approx. 1.5 mile round trip) through a beautiful botanical garden. Waimea Valley is an area of historic cultural significance on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Great - The tour guide was so knowledgeable and informative. I loved how he stopped at the fruit stand so we could get a fried banana!! The whole experience was awesome. However, it was rainy. I wish you would provide umbrellas or ponchos for the group.

Some of the highlights of our guided tour trip was: a) Dole Plantation, b) North Shore Beach, c) Nut House Macadamia Co - This was my husband and I’s 2nd trip to Hawaii. The last time we were here, 12 yrs ago, We signed up for Viators before we departed home and we haven't looked back. KANAMO, Ron, and Eric were our bus tour guide(s). Eric was our driver. Ron would help facilitate the tour during our rest stops. Kanamo is the energetic and informative Narrator. She is such a delightful all around person... She not only pointed out interesting places, but she added relevant history surrounding the places we were driving through, which added context to her story. Kanamo is a native of Oahu and understands everything from traffic patterns, to scenic routes, which beaches are popular anf which ones to avoid during high tides. Having grown up in Oahu, she is very familiar with film stars homes on the island, what part of the island is considered the Beverly Hills of Oahu and also which side is considered the most remote or rustic art of the island. Not IF, But when you come take a guided tour, Ask for this Team! We’re so grateful to be able to book with Viator when we travel to our destinations. #laura_luvs2travel

Must do tour around Oahu - I cannot recommend this tour enough! So good!! Kanamu, our guide, was INCREDIBLE!! She is so knowledgeable and really made the day so enjoyable for our family by explaining all of the Hawaiian culture and how it has evolved over time. Aside from all of the history, the views were spectacular! Photos cannot really capture the true beauty of all the island has to offer. From the Waimea waterfall, to the North shore pipeline, the Blow hole, and so much more! This tour is a great way to see the island of Oahu!! Mahalo Kanamu, for such a memorable experience!
