All gear is provided including rash guard, leash and softtop or epoxy surfboard. No previous experience required.

We focus on safety, enjoyment, and personal advancement, encompassing basic surfing techniques, understanding of sea conditions, and the excitement of riding a wave. Surfboards and other necessary equipment are supplied, and beginners are welcome.

Great experience - Had a great time surfing with Zack! He’s a very knowledgeable teacher and taught me some tips and tricks to improve my surfing. Would definitely recommend!

Get your self a surf lesson! - The address and meet up location were different and we ended up arriving a little late for our lesson. Once we go to the right spot, finding our instructors was easy and we loved working with them! Our nine year old was asking for bigger waves because the instructors made him feel comfortable and confident. We will most definitely be back!

First time surfers - Our experience with North Shore Ohana School of Surfing was more than we could have asked for. 🏄♀️ Zack and James were awesome. From the thorough instruction to kindness and patience with our family out in the water. Everyone got up!!! It will be an experience we will soon not forget. Highly recommended. Mahalo 🤙

Ghosted by Instructor - If we could do zero stars we could. Husband and three kids had surf lessons booked weeks in advance. Arrived early and there was nobody, figured out there are two locations that the instructor could be (the “directions” link and the address provided were different in the email received) and checked out both and there was no one and no signage. My husband and I both called and left messages, but no one would return our call. Ultimately there were no lessons because the instructor was a no-show. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Hopefully we can get a refund. **Edit, we were able to get a full refund, instructor reached out about 20 minutes after last message. However, it appears the instructor had my family marked down for the wrong time, despite receiving a confirmation email with the correct time. Offered to reschedule the lessons for the same day, but had other events planned that prevented us from rescheduling. **2nd Edit was rude after the fact because of my negative review. Appreciated the refund, but don’t appreciate the attitude about a negative review.
