Highlights
  • Manoa Falls Trail - Manoa Falls Trail is 1 of 2 trails that we are offering. We have the permit from DLNR to hike on 7 trails. Manoa Falls Trail is one of the most popular trails for tourists because it goes through the jungle to a waterfall. That means that this trail will have a lot of other people on it. Our other trail, the Kalawahine Trail is a lot more quiet.
Manoa Falls Trail is about 1 mile each way and is in Manoa Valley which famously gets a lot of rain, so it will probably rain on you at some point during the hike. The trail has recently been worked on so there is more gravel than mud compared to how it used to be. Sometimes the amount of water on the waterfall is disappointing, but the hike through the jungle to get there is still worth it.
Let us know which trail you want to do so that we can get the permits in advance, Manoa Falls Trail or the Kalawahine Trail.
What's Included

Additional Information

Select one of the two hiking options, either a journey through the valley leading to a waterfall, or a route from the mountain peak with picturesque views. This is a private, guided exploration on a trail that winds through Hawaii’s Mountain Jungle. With the official authorization from the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, we can offer hiking trips on 7 out of their 34 trails. At present, we offer tours on two distinct trails. You could choose either the Manoa Falls Trail or the Kalawahine Trail. The former is a one-mile trail set in a somewhat congested valley while the latter is a quieter, 1.5-mile trail situated at an elevation of about 1000 feet, known for its stunning views. The permit for these trails is valid only from Monday to Friday. Kindly let us know your preferred trail, so we can arrange the permit accordingly. Led by a guide, you will learn about the local birds, flora, fruits, and plants, as well as the region’s history and culture. Being flat and easy to manoeuvre, both trails are conducive for a leisurely walk. In particular, the Kalawahine Trail, even though it starts from an altitude of around 1000 feet, remains largely flat throughout. The Manoa Falls trail winds through a valley noted for its hearty rainfall.
