Chilling Stories and Great Guide - Went with my husband on Valentines, there was only 1 other person in our group. Good insight into the history and some spooky stories were told. Our guide was really informative and kept the tour interesting.

Memorable and magical - For two longtime fans of Lopaka Kapanui, the Ghosts of Old Honolulu tour exceeded our already very high expectations! Lopaka is a captivating storyteller, keeping us all hooked for this 90-minute tour. Regardless of your views on the spirit world, you will be moved by his deep respect for every person whose story he tells, as well as Hawaii’s beautiful traditions. He was also kind enough to sign my well-worn copy of his book, Mysteries of Hawaii. I will definitely take another tour the next time I am fortunate enough to visit Oahu!

Great time. - We thought the tour was really informative and interactive. If we could make a suggestion: find a way to project the photos and videos on the tour leader’s phone and I-pad onto a white screen where all participants could get a good look at the images.

Great storytelling! - We had a wonderful guide who kept us completely enthralled with his stories and deep command of Hawaiian history and folklore. This was also the first tour we did that was so interactive, complete with tips on photos and recordings to take!

A fun and exciting time - Learning more history about the island, kings and murderous things made this a fun evening. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept our attention the whole time.

Mahalo for the chills and thrills! - Absolutely impressed by Lopakaʻs tour last night! At the foundation, it was fantastic storytelling that incorporated history, place, and culture. But it was also interactive. What a privilege to support this Native Hawaiian owned business! Will definitely recommend to visitors and locals alike. Mahalo for the chills and thrills!

A fun time, even if you're a skeptic (as long as you have an open mind). - There were some really interesting stories and sharing - but I wish there had been a little more history, and a little more talk about the history of the locations, and less time spent on what occurred during previous tours. Additional - need a better method for sharing images / videos, as it was pretty hard to see in such a large group. I did really enjoy the interactive pieces.

Authentic True Crime Tour - It was okay. The beginning was good, it has some Hawaiian history and I felt I was learning a bit but the latter half fell off a bit and dragged. The orator focused on violence rather than paranormal stuff, felt very 'true crime' rather than ghosty at times. Not appropriate for kids (graphic, violent). I think you will really enjoy this tour if you like hearing about true crime. Take a drink everytime he says 'this place is only haunted at 4am so you'll need to come back if you want to see anything' (at least ~4 times). He is an excellent storyteller! And I loved hearing him speak actual Hawaiian which sounded very authentic! A little too many photos being shown, often very blurry and hard to believe. No ghost hunting equipment provided.

History not haunting - Great history but not much in regards to ghost tour. Presenter was very dramatic and attempted scary.

ひどい - If I could give zero stars I would. Lopaka Kapanui is a great storyteller - I admit that, however, his ego is the size of the freakin galaxy. Another ghost tour from a different company was at the meeting spot, as well and they were very respectful of Lopaka Kapanui’s tour, but, he was very rude towards them. I found out Lopaka Kapanui is a Hawaiian priest and the friend I was staying with has a sixth sense and so she reached out to Lopaka Kapanui to find out if he will bless her and her home. Only, when she asked him about it, he treated her very coldly and was stand offish. She even mentioned payment and that was the only time Lopaka Kapanui showed just a tiny bit of interest. My friend has five mental illnesses and she explained such to Lopaka Kapanui and how her mental, emotional, and physical health are being negatively affected because she knows evil ominous ghosts/spirits are latched onto her, thus, triggering her mental illnesses. She went to Lopaka Kapanui because she is desperate, except, he did not show an ounce of compassion towards her situation. If you want to get Lopaka Kapanui’s attention, just mention money because that is all he cares about. He is a FRAUD. A FAKE. The only way he will be nice to you is if you are part of his tour. He does not care about anyone but himself.
