Chance is a big wave surfer & expert tube rider. Chances dedication to the ocean & passion for teaching others is a true definition of the aloha spirit! Learn from a professional waterman! During our session we start with a short 15-20 minute beach instruction & safety briefing, we teach you how to properly stand on your board & how to navigate the surf break! You are guaranteed to get up and riding during your session, if at any time you aren’t enjoying your session, we will refund you 100%! Learn from the locals & have the time of your life!

Get your surf lessons from an experienced waterman! Born and bred on the north shore, Chance has a wealth of knowledge on ocean safety and had been surfing big waves for as long as he can remember. You’ll be getting lessons directly from him! He welcomes students of all abilities. The class begins with a brief onshore instruction, which covers ocean safety, surf manners, how to navigate the waters, and standing on the board. Each class lasts 90 minutes and guarantees several opportunities to ride the waves. Sunset sessions are highly recommended! Learn along with your family, a friend, or opt for a one-on-one session for faster learning. Whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced surfer looking to up your game, this class is perfect for you. Come enjoy a lovely day on the North Shore, riding the waves into the sunset! We meet at the end of Kahalewai PL, in Haleiwa town. also known as "Puaena Point".
If conditions arent permitting at this location, we will meet at our second location "Chuns Reef"

Chance Da King - Chance was great super patient and gave awesome tips! The beach he chose was great for beginners and wasn’t very crowded at all. I would recommend scheduling an earlier time in the day though and blocking out your whole day for it because it was a ton of fun!

Excellent surfing lessons. Would definitely recommend! - Chance was an excellent instructor! He was extremely patient and calm, and gave great instructions which helped us feel safe and at ease. It was such a fun experience! We would definitely take lessons from him again.

Wonderful experience that makes us wish we'd done it sooner! - Chance and Caleb were so helpful and quick to get us in the water. They made sure we were safe the whole time but weren't afraid to give us some good waves good waves after getting the hang of it. With 4 people, we were able to squeeze 4 or 5 surfs per person which was the perfect amount of rest for us in between!

One on one means more rides🤙🏻 - Day was awesome! Instructor took me to a great brake with a nice vibe. Other instructors had students out there and everyone just meshed together. Caleb was super chill and gave pointed advice. I noticed one on one meant more waves compared to students out there in small groups but there were no large massive groups either.

Beginners to surfing Pros - Loved our surfing experience. Caleb and Matt were very patient and made surfing easy to learn. Had a lot of fun and all of us beginners caught a lot of waves. Would highly recommend this experience. The beach was more private than surfing on a busy beach for beginners

Surfed Like A Pro w/ A Pro! Lots of Fun! - I had so much fun!! I never surfed before; apparently, I am an overachiever as I rode the wave all the way in. I could not have done that if it was not for the great education and instructions on how to surf! I had a lot of fun and would definitely do it again. FYI, Wear one piece and something covering your thighs for board burn.

1st timers !!! - Chance and Charolette were fantastic. This was our daughters (15,13,8) 1st surf lesson so they were a bit nervous ( so were we). Chance stayed with our 8 yr old when it was her turn so she wasn’t scared and she actually did the best out of the 3 of them!!!
Each of the girls got ‘wave time’ and the 8 yr old actually stood up a few times.
One of the girls got sea sick, Charlotte brought her back to shore and made sure she was ok.
Each of the girls swim and understand the beach but even if they didn’t - I would have felt very comfortable having them take these lessons.
Don’t hesitate to book them.. they are super chill, super friendly and very knowledgeable.
