One of the best activities in Oahu!! - The Kaneohe Sandbar tour was everything we could wish for and more. In particular Captain Hosanna was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and caring. Her knowledge both of the sandbar and reef as well as the island in general was exemplary. We had the most amazing experience on our trip in April. It was one of the highlights of the holiday. Casey and all the rest of the staff were also extremely helpful.

Fun experience and good... - Fun experience and good service from the crew - it was expensive, but I can't complain because the experience delivered on what I hoped for - a nice boat ride, walking on sand out in the ocean, and seeing turtles underwater.

Wonderful snorkeling spot - We went with the Captain Bruce team over for a half day snorkeling trip to Kaneohe Sand bar (really just a shallow sandy spot as the sand bar seldom comes above the water). We met Capt Dee with crewman Allen at the dock and boarded the large pontoon style boat. They take around 30 people per boat and had two boats going out. They are one of only three companies with permits (issued by HI) to visit these protected areas and each company has a separate and distinct location far from each other so NO CROWDS (which was fantastic!). Most of the other guests were Japanese and novice swimmers/snorkelers so we were allowed off a couple minutes early to start our swim along the arching reef which was absolutely teeming with a very wide variety of fish; we even saw two moral eels. The 2nd Capt Bruce boat started out using all the water toys in the warm water then after about an hour, they switched to snorkeling and we switched to toys. The crew kept careful track of everyone throughout and took the bigger group on more of a guided snorkel. As a part of the trip they have tons of free snacks, soft drinks and spam/sushi. You can also bring along your own food and even adult beverages if you so desire. We were back on land around 12. This is a great activity and a much better snorkeling experience than Hanauma Bay given the small group size, variety of fish and free snacks. Recommended

Book this trip for a great time! - We had a wonderful time and the staff was excellent! My 11 year old was afraid of snorkeling and Heather was so patient with him and gave him a lot of 1 on 1 time. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely do this again!

Excellent time! - The overall experience was great - Captain Robin and the rest of the crew were really friendly, attentive and made sure we had fun . The sandbar and snorkeling with turtles was amazing - there was only one other boat out on the sandbar so it felt like we had the whole thing to our group. We got to see at least 5-7 turtles up close! They provided great snacks and gear too. It felt like we found a hidden gem away from the rest of the tourists.

Top rated tour even for bad swimmers 🤩 - What an amazing adventure! It was beautiful Absolutely great tour by boat - we are taken out to a large sandbar where we can practice snorkeling. That was great for me since I’m not a good swimmer and I’ve been snorkeling before in Mexico which was much rougher waters but it was years ago. We stopped by a shallow sandbar, and I had a chance to practice that helped a lot. Making sure my mask fits snuggly. The water would come in. The hardest part for me was that there were a few too many people. There were two boats docked together next to each other, and it didn’t help that most of the people were Japanese and we couldn’t communicate. Just a few too many people swimming in front of me flipping their feet in my face as I struggle to stay calm and very deep water. But all in all it was very fun. That was only a small part of it. It’s a family run business and everybody was incredibly fun and friendly. They’re all young ,fun and beautiful people. Food was served and you could purchase beer & wine along with free nonalcoholic drinks. A beer did give me the courage to swim /snorkel with my life jacket on! The staff was great helping s every step of the way.

Fun family snorkel adventure - The boat crew and Captain Robin did a great job with our tour this week! Their instructions were clear and they were super friendly. Robin went out of his way to make sure we saw turtles and gorgeous fish during our snorkel session, and we had a blast playing around the sandbar as well. Plenty of snacks and drinks available, too!

Beautiful Sand Bar - I always wanted to visit the Kaneohe sandbar and finally was able to do. It was shallow as expected and most people paddle boarded around. My wife and I just walked the sand bar area which was nice. We then snorkeled around a small reef. Lots of fish and most impressive we saw 5-6 turtles sleeping in the coral. That was definitely a highlight. Crew was great and attentive. Snacks and soft drinks/coffee was provided. On the con side, we felt it was over priced. You are also with about 30 people so the snorkeling can get crowded. All in all had a good time.
