Excellent Service, Amazing Tours - We’ve told everyone we can about Kailua Beach Adventures and how amazing their service was. The shop crew was helpful in getting us set up with the proper gear for the self-guided kayaking tour and made sure we had good directions for getting to the beach. They also had crew at the beach and on Moko Nui to help launch your kayak and return your kayak safely. The price for an all-day water adventure (plus lunch) can’t be beat. We also want to thank the team extra for their service - my husband lost his wedding ring in the kayak and didn’t realize it until late that night. He called the next day to ask if my had been found, but it hadn’t. We went about our trip, assuming it was at the bottom of the Pacific and we’d just need to replace it. But a few days later, we got a call saying they found a men’s wedding band and after describing, they confirmed it was my husband’s. They took the time to look our number back up and make contact when the ring was found 48 hours later lying in the parking lot. We appreciate the professionalism and aloha from the team so much! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re on-island.

Great Solo Adventure - Great staff, very knowledgeable and patient. The seas were a bit choppy so if you get occasional motion sickness (I do) plan accordingly. Takes about 90 minutes to get to get to the twin island and it's into the wind most of the time. Coming back it was choppier and took about 45 minutes. Saw a lot of sea turtles on the surface to keep an eye out, they are super cool.

Take Your Time - Loved this self guided paddle, the Kailua Beach Adventures Team were amazing, checking in, equipment, safety brief and service was outsanding. My wife and I loved paddling the beautiful waters off Kailua and Lanikai at our own pace, the shop has fantastic equipment for sale, highly recomend it!!

Highlight of our vacation - Kayaking in Kailua with Kailua Beach Adventures was hands down the best activity and adventure of our trip! My friend and I rented a double kayak from the shop, which is located within walking distance of Kailua Beach Park, and set out on an adventure to the Mokulua Islands. The kayak was easy to use, and the gear was in great condition. The kayaks were sturdy and beginner friendly, but still absolutely capable of catching and surfing the waves around Bird Island as well as the Mokuluas. The quality of the equipment made the paddle across the turquoise waters of Kailua and Lanikai smooth and fun.
On the way to the Mokulua Islands, my friend and I were lucky enough to spot multiple sea turtles, and once we reached the Mokuluas, we were even lucky enough to see a monk seal and her pup resting on the beach and playing in the water. It honestly felt like a dream come true.
The staff were warm, attentive, and super helpful from the moment we walked in, which really made the whole experience stress free. If you’re looking for adventure in Hawaii, I can’t recommend this enough. Absolutely a 5-star experience if I could give them 6, I would!

We will be back! - April was amazing! Super helpful, told us all about the awesome spots to visit on the Flat Island. We will definitely be back for the Moku islands next! The included lunch was just a cherry on top. Highly recommend this tour as it includes the snorkeling gear, dry bag, locker, and lunch, — all of which are usually extra charge with regular kayak rental. Definitely worth the price if you want to get away from the crowds for a day. Be sure to come in early as it takes about an hour to get all set up.

Wonderful day trip with family - It was a fantastic trip with teenagers. We were picked up at the hotel (Hilton) in the morning and brought back in the afternoon. Tomo, our driver and guide was super nice and helpful. We really enjoyed the trip. We had booked the full package with lunch and snorkeling equipment. The beach and the sea were wonderful!
