Additional Information

During our late-morning diving expedition, we explore two shallow reefs with an average depth between 30 and 40 feet (approximately 9 to 12 meters). Among the myriad of vibrant sea creatures, a quarter can only be found in Hawaii, demonstrating the rich endemic biodiversity. The coral formations are equally remarkable, with 40% being native to Hawaii. While we can’t make definite promises about spotting specific marine fauna, there’s a high likelihood of observing creatures like eels, sea turtles, rays, octopuses, and even dolphins. In fact, turtles make an appearance in over 85% of our dives!

Great Way To Introduce Diving To Your Kids - We wanted to introduce our kids to diving and it had been years since my husband and I dove, so we chose the Coral Reef Dive. It was 3 1/2 hours total with two dives (rest in between). Our Dive Master was Caleb and he was excellent. Clear, concise and relaxed. He made it fun and interesting. I recommend this as a good intro for newbies. The crew do all the hard work with setting up the tanks and gear and cleaning afterwards. Caleb even helped our kids with their BCDs and buoyancy. The boat Captain was very personable and everyone was professional and safety conscious.

First time scuba diving. - This was my first time scuba diving. Kaleb was my dive instructor and he made me feel comfortable from the start. He gave a thorough explanation of all the safety items we will complete and then did them pretty much when we got into the water. He was by my side the entire time and kept on checking if I was OK. As far as I was concerned, I hit the jackpot on seeing undersea life to include turtles, octopi, eels, and so many colorful fish. Then we did another dive. Saw more turtles, a puffer fish, and many other fish most people see only on National Geographic. I highly recommend Hawaiian Diving Adventure. The crew was really friendly and down to earth.

Great first dive experience, 2 dives on Oahu - Me and My Friend had amazing time sucba diving for the first time. Instructions were easily understandable and we went from tallking to practicing skills in water quick. Instructors were all the time checking stuff and responding. Before a second dive we had time to talk about diving, sea animals, where are other diving locations and what could be seen. Snacks and water available. Captain of the ship also nice person to talk to. Good equipment.

AMAZING!! - Our guide was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to make me feel safe and calm. I’ve always had a fear of being in large bodies of water, so the first time getting into the water with the guide I started panicking but he was right there with me and instantly helped calm me down. The rest of the dive went great after that. Just remember to breathe! Will definitely be going back and hope to get our guide Evan again.

Amazing views & Crew - This crew is perfect for your first experience! I was PANICKED (it was embarrassing) so I wouldn’t have been able to go down & see the amazing things we did (which included turtles & a shark) if it wasn’t for the reassurance from both Dana & Andrew. 10/10 would recommend them!

An Overall Great Experience! - Great outing for my introductory dive. Friendly captain and divemaster. I appreciated the appropriate level of interaction based on my previous dive experience. It was easy to find the harbor and boat. What I loved best was the time spent underwater and having really cool fish and coral pointed out, that I might otherwise have missed. Would definitely go back for more diving with them!

Friendly and professional - Great professional and friendly approach. I had no experience at all but everything was explained and demonstrated very nicely. We liked it so much that I took my preteen daughter for a 2d day. She had a blast. They were nice enough to give her a 2d dry suit to keep her warmer for the 2d dive . Her fav activity from the whole Hawaiian trip.

Wonderful experience - What an awesome crew! I took the Open Water Diver and later the Advanced Adventurer training with Hawaiian Diving Adventures. I interacted with Andrew, Caleb, Dana, and Evan. All of them are highly skilled, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The students in these courses had diverse backgrounds, and the instructors tailored their advice to individual needs. Everyone received invaluable hints to improve their diving skills. The open water dives were always fun, filled with encounters with amazing sea creatures (the instructors/dive guides kept us entertained nonstop, both pointing out sea life below the surface and providing us with useful information on the boat).

Nice dive, but not for beginners - Enjoyable 2nd dive, but this is really not a course of beginners. If I hadn’t had prior experience, I would not have been able to do the dive. Water was extremely choppy, and a short practice of the skills in the middle of the ocean is not appropriate for a beginner diver. First experience diving can be scary and you should be given the opportunity to practice in a pool before you go into the open ocean. My daughter’s friend was so scared that she couldn’t go, and another person on the dive was also too scared to dive.
